For us old farts, Sumner definitely has to be Julius.

They went from 5th to 14th the year Daniher was sacked after 12 games, and haven't rebounded from that since. Injury took it's toll in 2007 yes, but maybe Daniher could actually coach. Don't forget that 4 years before that table (2000) they lost the Grand Final to Essendon.

Bailey has been "rebuilding" the side in his image for two years with a side that should have been ranged 8-12. Tankers.

Jetta just doesn't run 20 metres in a match. He goes for 40-50 metre runs lightning quick the whole way, then actually goals. This will be a new experience for us Swans supporters, one that I intend to savour !!
Hey, what about that other new wingman/half forward recruit who might be doing the same thing ...... Tadgh Kennelly - let's savour that!!

Almost too true to be funny!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

It's great to see that LJ holds Goodesy as his idol. It should really help is adjustment with the team.

I hadn't noticed this - we have two LJs.

Does this mean the cortinas are being upgraded to newer models? Something sportier?

                    Gemini's.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Lewis Jetta's older brother is moving over with him so that should help with the homesickness.

The way he ran to about 20 and then used the banana kick reminded me of Goodes.

Paul Roos applies the wet blanket treatment...

                                Gap for recruits 'massive'

SYDNEY coach Paul Roos says the gap between TAC Cup and AFL is massive and No. 6 draft pick Gary Rohan can forget about making his debut for the Swans in 2010.

''I'd be staggered if he played senior footy next year,'' Roos said yesterday after returning to Sydney from Thursday's national draft in Melbourne.
''The youngsters get really shattered by what it takes to be an AFL player. It will happen to Gary Rohan. He has got a lot of work to do. He's very raw. He only averages 12 possessions a game. These guys coming from under-18s are super-talented, but ? the gap is massive.''
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
