But did he not have surgery to fix that after he finished in 08?

I just had an ultrasound on my shoulder. The woman said that shoulder reconstructions are never completely successful due to the type of joint the shoulder is.

Just lifting my left arm up and down suddenly as part of my action was enough to grind away at the cartilage, because the "ball" in the ball and socket joint was bobbling around a bit.
I also have that problem.Five shoulder reco's and I still can't play the level of sport I used to.The frustrating thing is that it is very difficult to control yourself. My shoulders are taped all the time and it's no fun.It is a caused by a lack of collagen in the body which means you have very agile joints(especially ball and socket ie shoulders, hips) and can do great party tricks...at a cost.Ligaments and tendons tear more easily than a person without this problem.
Tadgh will probably(I hope not) find it more difficult to manage as he gets older.

Jenny McAsey must be trolling RWO, he got a mention on Swans website today in this story on Pyke.

ichards and Patty Veszpremi both cut their times by four seconds while Nick Malceski and Josh Kennedy both shaved three seconds from their previous times.
It's a small mention but a mention none the less.

            Moore hasn't been very newsworthy.

                I hope you mean "trawling"??

Would love to know what is going on with Barlow - that story indicates he "rested" yet again while the other players did their time trial. Is there some injury story the club is keeping quiet? Did all the rest of the players revolt over any more time trials unless someone else was given a chance to win? Have they determined he is such a good runner that he needs to spend the time trial time practising something else? It's been around two months now that he's been a-resting.

There are 40+ players. They can't all get mentions in the puff pieces!

Dunno 'bout that...count the number of puff pieces we've had!

(Not complaining though. Compared to past years, the effort that the website people have gone to to feed us little snippets of "news" has been highly impressive. It can't be an easy job to keep generating stuff about time trials and sand dune runs.)

Agreed. It is a phsychological thing to keep us tittupping along until the season begins. Good. I need this.

Suggestions for the media mob could be (ladies join me here....) a little more photography - fleeting person appreciation moments would be noice. I am trying to avoid the word perve, but you know what I mean

You know, its been a while since I have really look forward to the start of the season. To see where things have gelled, where we are at, and where we could be at. I love it.

If it is pictures you want... (I stumbled across these last week and don't think they have been posted before. Enjoying the first set, in particular, threatens some of we females reputations as serious footy lovers But there is one picture of Goodes as I've certainly never seen him before that should bring a chuckle to even the most "macho" RWOer. The second set is mostly of the new draftees - far more extensive than the odd one that made the mainstream media. They are mostly "arty" rather than action but they are worth perusing if for nothing more than admiriing Longmire and Dew's fashion sense.)

(PS There are actually several more Zimbio portfolios of Swans training, but most seem to be from last year. )

Thanks Liz for the research done - I have little further to say....

Its a beautiful portrait of Rhyce Shaw isn't it.
Adam looks like he is auditioning for the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
