Loved hearing 'Up there Cazaly' at the break last night..Still the most stirring footy song! (Although we did try to give Geelong the game back immediately afterwards).

It wasn't Up there Cazaly - it was the Sydney version Up there for Sydney. Much more stirring in my red-and-white opinion.

Fair enough...my head was spinning at 3/4 time anyway with the worry of Geelong doing an Essendon in the last quarter and hoping we could keep them out. Sounded terrific anyway.

Loved it last night! Everyone was singing along. If Essendon can have airraid sirens, we can have Cazaley/Sydney!

The player, yes. But we are actually talking about the song.

I also loved it, but why would the AFL come down on the club?

Hi y'all... I actually tried really hard in 2003-5 to try and find that old song, even wrote to the original songwriter to find the song, but to no avail.

Have no idea how they found it and spectacularly played it at half time / 3/4 time.. but I was like FINALLY!!!

They must have found it in some Channel 7 storage archive, because from what I heard, it was lost.

Or maybe, they may have cut it down from the audio background from old footage of the games... www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4wAAni0YVI :P

I must admit I agree with you Erica.

I now have it as my ringtone and it is absolutely unbelievable.

Brought back memories, I hadn't heard it in 16 years.

                            I couldn't agree more Annie.

                            It is deadset brilliant.

                            Loved hearing it again.

                                Absolutely agreed.

The club should use it for promotional material everywhere really.
