Roosey himself has said that Hanners would ''come under strong consideration''.Someone would have to go if he was to come in! Naturally in any team you give players time to gel but this year any underperformance is risky with such strong replacements waiting in the wings.

It was brilliant. And dare I say, a taste of things to come when he becomes more accustomed to the Swans setup.

He is our modern day Kevin Dyson, same number and same super solid physique, if not the same impressive barrel chest.
We were saying exactly the same thing the other night.
Its "Bumpy" all over.He was a better kick than JK though rekon JK is a litter smarter with the hands and general play.
He is a pretty solid unit and I rekon will make a pretty good career at the Swans

Its not a stupid thread just because one does not agree on an issue does not make one stupid. All I can say is I was at the game and was not impressed with moores game I dont look at stats in todays game too many cheapies...this is my humble opinion if you dont agree kool I dont think your stupid we may just look at the game in a different way.

Part of my reasoning is I believe there are and will be better options for Moores role, first couple are Hanners or Bird on the ball, Bevan, Ves are better options for applying defensive pressure across HF but Rohan may be the one to bring in looking tpo the future. Dont get me wrong Moore is a very good footballer and would win awards in VFL SANFL etc but we have better options for the role he is playing - if Hanners or Bird were fit I dont even think Moore would have been there Sat night, IMHO he isnt in our best 22.

And plenty of people watching the game without looking at the stats were impressed with him, myself included. Stats merely backed up his performance. His work in and under was great, he used the ball well, and he got the ball clear on a number of occasions when it didn't look possible. He played a perfectly solid game, and while perhaps his long-term future in the team is under question, he has certainly done nothing to lose his spot for next week.

This. And you're right, stats did back up his solid performance. 12 Contested possessions is impressive

No, it's a stupid thread because it is one week into the season, and the majority of people disagree with it and the premise of the OP.

I admire Moore and his footy smarts but this is 2010. If it was 10-15 yrs ago, he would be a gun, but unfortunately he hasn't the engine or speed to maintain his spot over the year. Should play Bevan or Rohan on big AAMI ground as they would be more likely to pressure Adelaide's run out of defence

Still doesnt make it stupid, I dont see where you get to decide who is stupid? Do we have to wait until rnd 18 to have an opinion on a player??

Hmm are you standing in front of a mirror?

If your advocating a player to be delisted you probably should. After only Round 1, it's just silly.

Dear me. Aren?t we up on our mighty high horse over this one?

Just because the majority of people agree or disagree about something doesn?t necessarily make it true, precious. The majority used to believe the earth was flat, and they were wrong about that, weren?t they?

No, just stating the obvious, that it is pretty stupid asking for someone to be delisted after 1 good game.

Just because the majority of people agree or disagree about something doesn?t necessarily make it true,
Someone once told me, if you disagree with someone, either of you could be wrong, if two people disagree with you, then it is more likely you are in the wrong. If a great majority disagree with you, there is a very likely that you are the one who is wrong

At least you had one thing right in your post.

BTW, isn't it funny how some people can't debate a point without resorting to name calling?

                          It certainly is, Smeagol.

Now who told you that pearl of wisdom about if you disagree with someone etc etc. It sounds like something out of Yes, Minister.

A guy I knew in a town called Kyabram. I've tested it a fair bit in the 10 years since he told me, and strange as it may seem, it has turned out to be pretty accurate.

Nice to see you got the "Smeagol" comment. I was hoping you knew enough about LOTR for it not to go through to the keeper!

I think it is more than reasonable to say that anyone who thought Moore had a bad game on Saturday and/or should be delisted on the basis of that performance is stupid.

Seems to have missed the mark a little.

While I quite like Moore, was hoping to generate more discussion about where he is at rather than the game specifically. I think his scope for improvement is minimal and when you look at how he fits into the team he:

-misses getable goals regularly that should be his bread and butter
-doesnt have the speed to be a lock down forward
-doest have the engine to play in the midfield
He ate more cheese, than time allowed
