Luffy's a legend in my eyes Primmy. So underrated by the mainstream. He's gotta be a least nearly 40, and he's still playing his guts out.
What a man, what a man, what a mighty good man.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Agreed Annie, but I worry about his hamstrings.....he has to be older than Snapper - right, I think he retired in about 1999, Snapper went to to end 2003....that's about right, he would be at least 40 now.

We rarely disagree Al, but I read the article and all I read was that Nick says he is difficult to coach. I'm guessing that there are a few more on our list, let alone other AFL lists that are also difficult to coach. A really good coach can manage to coach all of them well.

Yep, I didn't want to get drawn into another Nicky D battle but I certainly didn't read anything in that article that said "it's all on me!". Even if he had said "mea culpa", he's moved back here to take a job as part of the club- I doubt he would give Roos a spray in the media.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Nic has been having a giggle at everyones expense since the day he was born. Would have made an interesting standup comedian. He is in a good headspace, He knows exactly how he has got to where he is now, he is not going to apologise, but he isn't going to hide from us or himself that all his past issues were of his own making; and how he is "wanted" by the club in a role he can play to perfection and a challenge always b rings out the best in him. Nice to have a clown on board.

I think the fact that he said that the relationship could have been worse if he'd played two more years, suggests there was tension on both sides that neither party wanted, and Davis was more willing to leave that a lot of people think. Also, the fact that Ireland essentially offered the Academy position as Davis was leaving suggests that the Swans didn't just boot him out of the door. People like to imagine all sorts of drama behind closed doors, but reading between the lines in that article, it suggests that there was far less bad blood than a lot have been assuming.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
