If they're going with a small, I really hope it's Smith. He deserves to be rewarded.

Smith is the right choice. Kennedy who is shaping up as the new Luke Ablett will keep his place for the same reason Luke did. The Swans like a big body around the ball in a game full of stoppages. Personally I think he was lucky to get in and even luckier to keep his spot as although I have some time for him,I have Teddy, Bevan,Smith, Rohan, Barlow in front of him.Even more so with our new game plan!Comment

For team balance you replace like for like so Smith was the obvious choice. He's been rewarded for top form in the ressies which is as it should be. This says to every player not in the team that you need to perform in the ACT team to get the chance of selection. Means Vez, Rohan, MOD etc need to keep the pedal to the metal and be ready for the next vacancy.
It will be interesting to see how Smith is used this week and into the future.
Have a good rehab Ben, we'll miss you.Comment

Given the opposition we have over this 2-4 weeks, it would seem sensible to hope for one solution and hence one set of team adaptations over the period.
So, Smith seems the best bet, as a defensive small player based on last year's roles.Comment

I'm fine with Smith.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

Fair enough decision. I voted for the dynamacy of Veszpremi but Smith is a very good decision as well considering he has been tearing it up in the ressies.
Go Smitty!Last edited by Jeffers1984; 22 April 2010, 01:56 PM.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

Welcome back Smithie, but how will he be used? A run-with midfielder, up back or small forward? The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment
