Team List
Sportingpulse Team Lists
In: Meredith (return from injury), McKaigue (?)
Out: Nick Smith (Senior promotion), Sam Reid (?) Taylor Gilchrist (?)
The squad in that link only has 22 names (out of a possible 24) and 16 listed players (out of a possible 18) so it's possible that Reid and Gilchrist have been mistakenly omitted.
Meredith makes a welcome return from his quad strain injury, and will join the logjam of half-forward/midfield types aiming for a place in the senior side. Chris McKaigue also returns after missing last week, while Byron Sumner continues his unexplained absence.
Top ups
Ainslie
Last year's beaten grand finalists pulled off a recruiting coup when they convinced ex-Crow Rob Shirley to bypass the promise of GC17 to lace up the boots with the Tricolours. This addition has been tempered by the key losses of youngster Jason Tutt (drafted by the Western Bulldogs) and ex-Mulrooney Medallist Ryan Lewis. It also seems their CHF ex-North Melbourne player Ben Hughes, who kicked 7 goals in Round 1, will be missing from this game.
Ainslie smashed the cellar dwellars Tuggeranong Hawks in the first round and went down narrowly to Eastlake in a tough contest in Round 2.
