Unless you mean your own BOG because you have no faith in the club's best lists, in which case I totally concur.

No, for some reason I also thought he had been named BOG 3 times, so that game was the logical one. I remember it because I was so surprised he was mentioned.

They might have modified it from the initial report, just like they this week with Gilchrist replacing Dickerson in the best list.

Good to see Playfair leading the goalkicking table, obviously following on from his solid pre-season.

He's well down on votes though. Can anyone explain why that is?

Well after reading the official match stats, I'm beginning to wonder if I was at the right game. As I've said before, it was a woeful game, they ALL looked as if they really couldn't be bothered playing, and it wasn't even cold. I was very disappointed in Playfair, and I wouldn't have said C Heath was worth mentioning..... obviously I don't know anything. Despite my user-name I am a 'girl', but in my defence, I have to say that I've been watching footy for over 50 years!

Don't worry, I often scratch my head after the best list is released after the home games I watch. At least they're consistent.

                    Aw Scott, that's mean.....accurate, but......

Nah, he is in the mix to show the way and go down back when there is a gap. He can barely kick a goal from outside 35m, and running isn't a strength. But he is a reasonable leader, and the kiddies need that.

Nice to see the Dill is in the upper eschelons of ressies players, again.

Well there's a good summation, thanks Primmy.

I know stats don't paint a complete picture. Sounds to me then like he doesn't wander far from the goal square & lets the ball come to him, which would explain why he's high in the goalkicking but low in the votes.

He's played more CHF than FF, Currie is usually the tower in the goalsquare. He's played well without dominating. Sometimes as a forward in the reserves you can kick a bag without really doing too much, due to the great delivery coming in. He's taking some strong grabs and mixed it up with some awful kicking.

Those votes, as we've discussed, can leave some of us watchers bewildered and bemused at times. I suspect there might be manipulation behind the scenes that would make Machiavelli blush. It is probably used to encourage the young uns with respect to their assigned task for the game - perhaps Henry does get overlooked because he is a little older. Either that or they chuck it to the work experience kiddie.

Just when I thought I had it all worked out Whatever the case may be, it sounds like we won't be seeing Henry in the Seniors unless there's a catastrophic run of injuries to our talls.

I was very disappointed with the reserves against Tuggeranong until I looked at the stats and saw they were playing with only twenty players against Tuggeranong with twenty four. As I understand it under the crazy rules under which they are handicapped we are allowed only eighteen Swans on the team sheet with a max of thirteen on the field at one time plus six top ups which means at least five topups will be on the field at any time. Against Tuggeranong we had only twelve Swans on the team sheet and eight topups. Of the twelve we had there were seven senior players and five rookies and only three players with any AFL experience, (Bevan, Veszpremi and "rookie" Playfair). Under those circumstances I am not surprised how they got overrun in the last quarter as they ran out of legs. I assume O'Dwyer was a second travelling emergency down in Geelong.

Looks like our depth is being tested a bit by by injuries and the non-appearances of Sumner and Orreal.

Still don't understand how Playfair got elevated this week ahead of Currie though unless there is some reason why they don't think Currie was ready for this weekend. The reserves have a bye so Currie may need the rest.
