I thought we would lose by a lot and predicted that although my heart wanted a win. This loss blows out more with LRT gone and Teddy at full back.He was totally outpointed and should never be in a key position.Who else could have we put there? I thought Mattner was very loose but Smithand Kenelly did well as did Shaw.Barlow was ,as demonstrated before ,not up to this level.Him and Ted on the same team with a youngster like Rohan and you are always going to be up against it.Nice effort from Pyke

Not the first team to beat by a lot down there and it won't be the last. I'll be more disappointed if we get done by the dogs at Manuka next week...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Was following the game on pocket news during Art class up at Sheffield where the reception is very hit and miss......was nearly thrown out of art class for swearing. One day....we'll beat them again down there."The Dog days are over, The Dog days are gone" Florence and the MachineComment

Seemed to be a real lack of intensity and pressure today. Geelong had loose players everywhere on the rebound while we struggled to move it forward with any cohesion. Had alot of players down. Thought Kennelly and Mumford were our best. They both had a crack at it. Unfortunately Barlow looked lost out there, no composure or awareness, was moving like he was still playing in the ressies. Unfortunate game for Rohan to come in but hopefully we'll persist with him for next week. On the bright side if we were going to have a shocker that was a good match to do it. We certainly still need to improve alot and it's a good thing for the players to realise at this point in the season. Thud..Comment

Ouch. That hurt.
Let's hope they learnt something from it.
What I learnt is that reserves form doesn't count for much - Barlow, Richards and Rohan all looked totally out of their league. Big Mike however did well - thank god given the shocker that Mummy had.Comment

Mummy did okay, not brillaint, but okay. We need remember he has played 25 games in total.Comment

I didn't think we'd get beaten by much more than 3 or 4 goals. But that was before LRT dropped out. We certainly missed his big body - he could have taken Pods. Can't remember the last time we were thrashed so comprehensively.
As others have said we lacked intensity and didn't man up as well as usual, leaving Geelong players free everywhere. They are so good at finding space though, it's hard to judge what comes first the chicken or the egg.
Umpires and commentators equally biased. Wish we didn't have to play down there so often. Lucky Essendon, Carlton, Collingwood and whomever else draws the big crowds - they get let off with that trip.
Hard to pick 3 best players today - Kennelly is one, perhaps Mummy but not much else to choose from.Comment

Tough game to watch.
The frustration of at least 3 frees not paid in the first quarter set the scene.
Just before half time the cats put the after burners on on we had too many chasing.
Skills fell away in the second half. A hard game last week and 2 days less recovery than Geelong would always favour them so its now time to regroup.
Need McGlynn, LRT and Hannerbury back in the team.
J Bolton and O'keefe both had hard knocks today so we were down on rotations... thats going to hurt.
Pyke played a good game given the tidal wave in the second half.
Geelong were very very good at home today.
Always look for a positive...
The Jetta pick up spin , bounce, evade , bounce ... (ok forget the kick) was worth hanging in to watch.
More than once there was no forward movement so we rebuilt momentum next week.Comment
