This is why I'm not confident that the challenge will succeed. Still the penalty for the extra week for an unsuccessful challenge is a game against the undermanned Hawks so it's a small risk to takeComment

Been back and loked at it again. What a @#$%ing joke!
This is just a great strong tackle, I reckon there's a couple of these every week. One can only only assume it's because of who hit the deck.
I'm certain we'll appeal and certain we'll get off. If it goes to three that's no concern as that game is against the P&Ws and Pyke will monster them by himself.
Still stunned by the report ........Comment

I think the lifting and twisting in the airis the issue here - exacerbated by Mumford's relative strength. I suspect Mumford will be made an example here to stamp it out though it was an instantaneous and seemingly unintentional event. As others have noted, can't be high contact, was a standard tackle in most respects so hardly reckless - and medium impact may be too harsh given no injury seemed to be sustained by Ablett.
If he can't get off I'd expect Minson in for dogs and us to go with Richards as second ruck with White as back up up forward - I prefer to see Currie in though.Comment

This is such a joke of a decision. There is no consistency at all.
I assume the high contact is because Ablett's head hit the turf? The tackle was a giant bear hug!"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
