I agree that it's time to give TDL a game. He is a quality player.
i think the curious part of his inclusion is that he was not played in the ruck instead of White.

Just back from game. My two cents...

        Positives:
McVeigh - excellent game, clean, skillful player
Goodes - tried hard, wish we had a few more of him
Jude - presented well, one of our better players

        Negatives
        Playfair - is a hack, wasn't even a target
Jetta - needs a run in the 2's
Roahn - long way to go, very raw
Pyke - just not a footballer
        Roos - poor coaching day

It would be even curious if he was played in the ruck. He hasn't played there for four years.

Just finished watching the game - what a waste of time.

What was up with Ryan? Balls.
Should have insisted this game was at night so Hall wouldn't be able to catch 'em.
            No forward line.
Intensity fell away in the second half. Again.
Some of the umpiring decisions. Baffling.
McHack was good. But he always is at Canberra.

I'll be booing Barry come the home game. Nah. I can't bring myself to.

Kelly Underwood is an imbecile. Ryan O'Keefe sooks it when we are losing, always has. AND i'll say what everyone else is thinking and won't say....Kirky is about done and maybe should spend more time in the forward pocket playing out his last season. Nick Smith will be a good midfielder along with Josh Kennedy who gets better every week and deserves more credit for someone who has only played a dozen games or so. As far as depth goes we only have the Depths of despair. Hurry back please injured players.

Whether you want to argue about the alternatives I'm not sure, but when he was named to play he had to be the relief ruckman rather than replace #18 in the forward line??

White is learning the gig at FF - what does a stint in the ruck do for him? Playfair is pretty expendable in terms of our list - if we flog him in the ruck what is the difference?

I'm not sure who says Playfair had to play in the ruck? Obviously they felt Jesse was the better option in the ruck, he's played there in the recent past unlike Henry, and has a lot more mobility than Playfair.

Am I alone in saying Malceski despises the hard ball and is only an outside backman who only gets the easy give offs.
Either he is nursing his knee still & not telling anyone. Or he is overtaking Luke Ablett in terms of being a soft ball receiver & little more. I noticed at close range against North & especially against the Cats how often he'd just half heartedly through one arm out to try and mark the footy. Never goes in & gets the hard ball at all. Maybe he feels with his slight frame that he will get creamed and thus be less effective for what he is good at, getting the ball out of defence quickly from half back.

Not the player I was so excited about a couple of seasons ago. And that greatly disappoints me.

im feeling a little more positive this far away from the game, purely because i think we have out arguably our best key forward and backman. Our 2 best ruckman and our two best small forwards. If you took that combination of players out of any side, even the cats they would struggle to some degree. (in the cats case, scarlett, mooney, blake, ottens, chapman and johnson).

The thing i find disapointing is that the guys we turn to when the injuries hit are players like bevan, richards and playfair, people who have shown they arent in our best 22 (and i would say in the case or playfair and richards especially they wont ever be back in the best 22). I would rather go down and get a flogging like today but see us giving the up and comers a go , people like vespa and currie. Then i think we can take more out of it. Even mid game, chuck a few of these guys on the ball or give them a bit more exposure.
Theres not much left to say
