Goodes ruins another scoring chance and it's half time. Hawks by 5 points.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Hanners leads the disposals at half time with 17.

I love that we're got the Frees in our favour. That's mainly due to Hawks kicking the ball out on the full at least 5 times they've done it.

He would have to be in the top 3 for Rising star this year.

Sounds like Dorks have had the ball a bit but are kicking behinds.

Are we getting enough ball in the midfield to kick a winning score?

I hope rohan is ok..he was awesome..a few clangers but apart from that i am warming to rooster so much. Goodes again at his incosistant best..such a frustrating player to watch..10 seconds he could have moved the ball quicker and he holds up.

Yeah though the way Rohan's going he could nab a nomination soon too.

I think at the end of the quarter when you saw him talking to someone (before talking to Mal), it was probably the exact same question.

Really great game - a big a dble plus for effort from our boys - well both sides really - smashing each other like crazy. Goodes might not be kicking goals but he's having a positive influence in other ways. How good was mummys tap, handball and follow op tackle near boundary line - THAT was effort. And Rohan - he's a keeper that kid. More optimistic now but long way to go
Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.

We had so much of that play in that quarter, it's disappointing we didn't hit the front.

                            The Good
Mummy is absolutely dominating in the ruck
The tagging jobs - Smith is killing Hodge, Kirk keeping Mitchell quiet
Goodes if only he had kicked straight *sigh*
Hanners looks to have swapped with ROK from last week, pushing up the ground.
                            Malceski continuing his great form
                            Rohan.

                            The Bad
ROK, playing HF, just not up to his usual high standards
                            Heath looks off pace

Playfair good and bad, mostly good, took some good grabs got pushed off too easily by Brown near the end there.

There are some harsh markers on this site. I have just watched a fantastic contest of a second quarter - committment from every Swan (and to be fair, most Hawks too) right across the board. Sure, some of the disposals have been off the mark but still a fantastic game.

Hawks fans will probably be screaming about frees missed for them, but I am still trying to understand why Smith didn't get a free for a tug around his neck, or why ROK running onto a loose ball and getting pulled off it by a chasing opponent didn't warrant a free, given some of the ticky touch ones the umpies do play.

Love Rohan's committment at the contest, Jack's attack on the ball, Kennedy's brute strength in heavy traffic, Smith's job on Hodge, Kirk's job on Mitchell, Playfair's marking, Hanners' everything

Can we look up and kick into the 50 to one of our @@@@ing players, this is absoluely shocking to watch how many times have we kicked the ball into the 50 and it ends up on the ground or to a hawks player. I cant believe the AFL are briniging another two teams into the comp, the standard is poor enough without another 50 players.

We dominated that qtr and won the qtr by 5 points because of shocking kicking disposals and poor decisions by players. 8 of 10 for effort.
