just the finishing is lacking. Mumford is having a great game, odwyer finally finding the pace late in that quarter.

If we can just convert the midfield work up forward we should win.

Okeefe could impose himself on this game a bit more too
Theres not much left to say

Hawks fans will probably be screaming about frees missed for them, but I am still trying to understand why Smith didn't get a free for a tug around his neck, or why ROK running onto a loose ball and getting pulled off it by a chasing opponent didn't warrant a free, given some of the ticky touch ones the umpies do play.

Love Rohan's committment at the contest, Jack's attack on the ball, Kennedy's brute strength in heavy traffic, Smith's job on Hodge, Kirk's job on Mitchell, Playfair's marking, Hanners' everything
Liz great contest but frustrating in the sense that we for putting any damage on the scoreboard. Even qrt and the kind of commitment i expect every week and not just 1 qrt.

Not being harsh. And the hawks apart from last week have been c r a p this year.

We have had heaps of the ball DST but the wind is very tricky as the scores would indicate.

I tell you what, the Swans are hitting in hard and busting a gut. Hannebery and Rohan are so hard at it for young blokes. Smith is killing Hodge - he has 2 disposals at 1/2 time - Smith must be close to leading the B&F.

We desperately need to use the wind this quarter.

Hard to tell complete story on TV, but Jetta has been very disappointing.

FFS, use your speed, take them on and go forward.

Swanette are you looking at the same game the standard is shocking, both teams turning over the ball, making wrong decisions which makes it exciting and both teams missing easy chances. I wouldnt say thats good footy. Exciting ye and good for neutrals

Wow that was great work from Ted Richards! Why can't he kick that accurately all the time?

One thing I reckon about Hawthorn, their talent level is very thin. Lose 1-3 players and they are gone. Some VERY ordinary players in the 18 - Gilligan's boss is one of them.

Dominated all aspects of that quarter except on the scoreboard.

We're definitely in with a shot if we can maintain that pressure in this half.

Hannebery is an awesome, classy player. He's loving the open spaces of the MCG. I hope Gazza's shoulder is OK because he's among our best, as is Mummy.

Jetta's got to use his pace more. Heath's disposal has been poor but he's not alone there. Less said about Goodes the better! At least he's getting the ball, just not kicking it very well.

Jets having no left boot kills us. he could have run a mile a few times but stopped and turned around to get on his right.

Loving Mummy, White, Playfair, Hanners and Rohan's work. Kirky and Smith keeping hodge and Mitchell quiet. Mcveigh needs to get into the game. Pykey is improving with every minute he is out there. Doesn't look pretty but he hasn't turned it over yet. He and Mummy could form a pretty formiddable partnership.

Does that person on here who thinks Kennedy is a dud see how he dodges and weaves through heavy traffic? It's unbelievable. There are not many players that can do that like ho does.

I agree with Hammo - Hannebery is a star. He would be one of the best 19yo players Ive seen.

Hate to say it, but if I was running GC17 or GWS he would be a massive target. I reckon Jack will be a certain loss to GWS.
