    Wet trackers & Dry Trackers

Given the weather lately and the high chance that there will be games played in the wet I was wondering who people think are the best players in the wet and conversely , the dry.

Seems to me that the Western Australians and South Australians are less likely to be good in the wet and that the Vics/NSW players have the advantage in the wet (not that they can't play in the dry).

Players that stike me as good wet trackers are most of the more experienced players but also Craig Bird, Brett Meredith (after their good performance in the wet the other day) & Gary Rohan.

Players tha struggle might be Jetta, TDL, Jason Sumner (not just because they are from WA & Sa but also because they are light and rely on speed rather than strength).

    Any thoughts?
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

Nice topic for debate, but given Victoria has been in drought since 1997, I doubt many of the current AFL players have played in wet conditions regularly enough to warrant any advantage..

Beau Waters,Brian Lake and Jared Rivers should all be good in the wet

Mitch Farmer from the Tigers doesn't like the Dry though.

Lewis, Neville and Leroy should be good in the air.

Wet weather seems to simplify the game style to "just keep the ball going forward". Should be perfect for B1, just get the ball and kick it forward straight away, worry about targets another time.

Brad Green usually enjoys a bit of wet weather to keep him looking good. The various Browns all prefer dry weather though, they tend to turn to soft a bit in the wet.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

If only he wasn't injured, Mark Seaby is a bit of a duck in the wet apparently.

I think you're wrong about WA players, the WC sees a fair bit of water.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Agree. They've been flushed with success for a long while now.

Poor ole Scottee, he asks a valid question which should stimulate debate and discussion and we all want to take the piss. The person who started this should be banned for life from this forum.
