Swans V Pies

I can't see how it could possibly be unrealistic to think that the Swans can beat the pies, otherwise why would they even bother playing a game?
I personally don't expect to win, but to say we have no chance is illogical. It's going to be worth the trip to the game just to see Jolly get a cleaned up by Mumford.
Go the Swannies. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Taubert's the guy who you see next to Roosy when the coverage pans away to get a shot of Roos coaching on the sidelines. IIRC, he always was referred to as a part-time coach, seems that he has taken a more prominent role recently.Comment

The ruck will be one of the more absorbing contests. Not only can we look forward to Mummy's efforts, but I expect Pyke to give Jolly a demo of how far he has come. The questions will be, as they have been over the last few weeks, can we turn ruck dominance into clearances, and can we turn clearances and possession into goals? If we are prepared to play on whenever realistically possible and use the corridor as Melbourne did today, we have the forwards to give Collingwood grief.
Never been a fan of booing ex-swans, but Jolly...I will be screaming myself hoarse at the TV...then I'll be sending a very angry letter. Jolly, if you still reads RWO -
YOU SUCK!The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

Darren Jolly is our premiership ruckman. His personal reasons for leaving are his. You don't have to like them nor agree with them. It certainly can't have been easy after pushing for a 4 year contract and then having to turn around and say it's not enough and we need to go home. I think it probably took some courage to have to ask for the trade and none of us know the challenges his family faced.
Don't ever make the mistake that he doesn't love the Swans because he did and he still does and he always will.
He is a lovely bloke who bought us all an incredible amount of happiness in 2005. Considering he was a young and untried ruckman and Jason Ball was in and out injured.
Frankly he stated what we've all been saying for years. We are too slow when moving the ball on but hopefully we are going to give him a surprise shortly.Comment

He left us for a pretty poor reason, melbourne is not exactly the otherside of australia, it's a mere 45 mins by plane. The same time it takes from melbourne to geelong by car..maybe a bit more.
He left us to play for collingwood.
He now has the audacity to say we are slow, disguising it as a throw away remark but really he was having a go at us.
He cost us a back to back. Never will be forgiven.
He is being showed up for the over rated riuckman that he is. Don't think pie fans are happy with him BTW.
HE WILL COP WHAT HE DESERVES.
I hardly heard any booing for monty, schnieds and hall.Comment

Jolly was nothing before he came to the Swans, and he's rapidly heading back in that direction following his departure. Although I'm thankful for what he did whilst he was here, I'll happily boo the guy now that he plays for the enemy.
Schneids, Monty and Big Bad didn't ask to leave the club so they don't deserve boos. Jolly does, and he'll get 'em next week....Comment

Life's too short to hold grudges anyway. I didn't think that he slagged off the swans during his appearance 'on the couch' either. He's happy, we're happy - move on.Comment
