I'm very anti-urinals, I've never understood the male love of urinating against a communal wall with a bunch of strangers whilst a cubicle abounds.
Saves waiting in a queue, you say? 5 minutes to maintain a scrap of human dignity- I believe that's worth the wait.Last edited by stellation; 26 June 2010, 08:10 AM.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

I remember reading this at the time and being disappointed by the lack of optimism, but the overall assessment was pretty well right. Bugger!Collingwood as per usual will be intensively putting the pressure on the Swans; tackling like it is there last game of footy; lapping up the big Homebush crowd and occasion. Thomas, Didak, Meadhurst will all by skipping about kicking goals all night. Sydney will in the 3rd or 4th quarter bridge the gap from 40 points to 15. The crowd will get excited. But of course, as usual, it will be too late. Collingwood win AGAIN, this time by 19. Boring!Comment

Fat lot of good that did.....hehehehehe.
Obviously very desperate for a final win. I don't think it will make much difference tomorrow night whether he is in or not. We've had Biffo Barry for the last 8 losses and he didn't make a difference. As K Jack said in his article, the Swans have to be very hard at it to have a chance. This time we have:
McGlynn
Kennedy
Mumford
Smith
White
Bradshaw (maybe)
Rohan
Hanners (more experienced)
Jack (as above)
Jetta or Vez
That weren't part of the team of those last 8 losses.Comment

I am not glad to be right but if your team has been comprehensively beaten so many times by the Pies you can't keep doing the same thing again and expect to win. From selection policy to game plan we were always in trouble.Playing Midfields as forwards(Bird) getting killed in the rebound(Harry O'Brien), missing forward targets, stuffing up the kick ins.Why didn't we copy the Melbourne strategy of the previous week against the Pies? I don't blame the players and Roosey for once swung some changes which was good however we needed a much better plan and some changes of personel and some dam fine coaching to have any chance. The prediction was a no brainer.Comment
