Anyone is amazing to these people, sorry but FC journos tend to jump on bandwagons a lot and say what a lot of supporters want to hear about their team. No cred.

You are doing a great dis-service to our players by not commenting on them.

We already have threads salivating about Bolton and Mummy's games.

As for Rohan possibly being the best player in the comp in 5 years time, yes he could be. But so could another 50-200 players. It is a hyperbolic comment based on a small number of promising (but hardly dominant) games from a raw teenager. Maybe RWOers are too savvy to get carried away with the coming of the next messiah until a player has at least played game number 10!

Yeah, although sometimes you can pick a future superstar on just a few games. I was an avid Glenelg supporter watching Stephen Kernahan and Tony McGuiness playing their first games with Glenelg and thinking WOW!, superstars here.

              Well why didn't you?

You carry on like you're the only one here in Melbourne.

People on here have made comments about Rohans ability, now because it's the Melbourne press they don't know what they are talking about. You can't have it both ways.

FWIW I was just trying to get some comments on what people thought of these guys making positive comments about the Swans.

Footy Classified is a great Footy Show, pity C9 is not showing the Northern States any love with it, makes me shudder when I think of how bad things might be if they get the rights again. Great for Southern states, horrible here. As for Caro, she is my favourite footy journalist, she certainly can stick it to a target (sometimes for too long) but she spent much air time last year defending our list and that she didn't think we needed to bottom out to challenge again and on her breaking stories, she is generally proven correct, must have some great connections!

As for the comments last night, I am so happy the Melbourne AFL media are starting to take notice of some of our stars, it's one thing to go under the radar, but credit where credit is due and Mumford deserves huge airtime, he was a rookie who took a million dollar contract and has proven why and Rohan is a superstar in waiting. As for Bolton, I think along with Kirk, Goodes and historically Baz, he has always got some sort of recognition but I loved how each Footy show on Monday night singled out his performance.

It is hyperbole, but I'm sucked in I'll admit.

He has height, speed, skills, is hard at it... is just a kid... gosh... I mean, yes- he's got red hair so that's a negative but otherwise... GOSH!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I don't mind Footy Classifieds. I actually liked it more though when they got the journos in to have questions put to them directly from players / coaches who they had printed articles about in the past. Some were better than others, but it was good to make them accountable.

Caro is far better when she doesn't comment about on-field stuff, as she is really not that knowledgeable about the teams and their players etc. It was good when she defended the Swans, but it was a pretty weak attempt (the only good up-and-comer she could think of was Barlow - who has now become the brunt of their jokes over the end of last year and this - which is a bit sad).

It's his fourth and fifth efforts.

He's so quick that if there is a chain of handballs out of defense, he puts pressure on every guy who touches the ball. He's only ever out of it when they go the long kick. NEVER gives up.

The thing that's impressed me so far was in the Hawthorn game. The game was there to be won and he was pleading and screaming for the ball from his teammates. He wanted to take the responsibility.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

wow i actually feel sorry for sydney based footy fans if they honestly think this abortion of a program is any good..u must be craving jjust about anything to do with footy up there..i know i felt that way..i used to think the footy show was great.

Terrible show that just jumps on bandwagons and is hosted by the puppets of footy trash media down here.
