When he starts doing the things a FF should do then i will be convinced. Lets hope i'm wrong and he has a blinder against the pies and i can happily eat my fill of humble pie.
OK no more from me about Jesse for now.
Oh and Stella, sorry if my persistence offends, i do enjoy chatting with such esteemed RWO veterans like yourself.

It would have been hell if Fev was recruited to Sydney. Shudder.

Smiffy should keep 40. Who else has made that number his?
Or perhaps 11 would be nice.
They would HAVE to rest 31 for a bit, surely!

Rest if for a year, and then give it either to Dylan McNeill (if he carries on the way he's started) or to Tom Mitchell...

No no, it doesn't offend in the slightest- I was just joking. I love debating about footy, if everyone had the same view there'd be nothing to debate!

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Just encourages faking and drags the game down. Plus you get that ridiculous humping body movement from league when they're trying to get a penalty after a tackle.

                  ... like they rested 19!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Do players every reallly go UP in number? 28-31 would be somewhat odd.

I agree with you on Tom Mitchell though, that has occurred to me. Although, the way things are going, the number 10, Barry's old top, might be vacated by then. I hope not, but it's seeming more and more likely.

Simon Arnott relinquished number 2 when Schwatta came to the club and played in number 42 until he departed to the Cats.

Plugger went from 4 to 46!!

If a player is offered a number with some sentimental significance and wants to accept it, I don't see why it should make any difference that it's going up rather than down.

2, 5 and 6 will probably also be available when Mitchell is drafted so some good ones to choose from. As for Currie, let's hope 10 isn't available for a while yet...

Playing numbers are a bit of a joke in my opinion.

Bob Pratt playing in 10, set some serious records for the club that haven't been beaten but the significance of the number is lost today.

The number 4 in recent years has been forward then back and now midfield. I would think if you want to honour numbers, you should confine them to the position of greatness. That is 14 for example.

At the end of the day, when the cows come home, chooks go to sleep and cats come out to play, it's the player that makes the number and NOT the other way round.

Dangerfield went from 19 to 32 (Ricciuto's old number). Probably a bit much to give 31 to a rookie listed player, even if he has had a good season and has connections to Kirk
