Correct me if I'm wrong but there would have been a number of people affected by the cancellation of the flights, and not just Collingwood supporters. Why they would rank above anyone else who would have been just as keen to get to wherever they were going is beyond me.

But nobody wants to laugh at the others missing appointments, only Collingwood fans .... that's the story.

Never, ever, ever, fly Tiger if you want to be sure of reaching your destination (or getting home).

You've been lucky. Tiger Airlines appears to have an attitude towards its customers that they should be grateful to be flying with them, they have no concept of good customer service and think nothing of cancelling flights and leaving people stranded. They are the Barbara Bank of airlines.

I did one return trip to Melbourne with them last year and whilst we had no problems, I found the check in procedures (no web check at the time) and the location of their terminals inconvenient and now stick with qantas.
The saving isn't worth the trouble.

If you can afford to fly QANTAS why use Tiger? If I had the money I would always fly QANTAS, but we can't afford that.

I usually fly Virgin and Jetstar now. Cheaper than Qantas and for a bit more than you pay flying Tiger (so long as you book in reasonable advance) both are far more reliable and convenient.
