It actually worked brilliantly for the last half dozen games last year and Jesse White was terrific at full forward. Must have been a flash in the pan for both. Adam clearly needs to run on the ball to get his touch back ... Jesse might be better across half forward where he can run around a bit, but I'm starting to doubt that he's got the basic footy smarts to make it anywhere.Comment

Goodes in the mid-field for mine. He isn't a FF, or even a CHB. He's a rover. I don't think he's unfit or carrying an injury. He's been played out of position. White needs to stand up.Comment

The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment

Peace, we need you as coach, but don't lets wait for Bradshaw to be back.Comment

I would have thought that in todays style of game , a centre half forward could pretty do that anyway if he wanted to. It should be nothing for him to lead up past the wings or the centre square and leave the full forward (be it white or bradshaw) one out in the forward line with a couple of fast crumbers storming down the field around him.Comment

I still think he has immense potential and key forwards are like gold, but he needs to start playing whole-hearted football, not scratching around in a manner that suggests that he is uncertain of his role.Comment

Late last year, Jesse got his goals by leading fast and straight. He's not doing that this year. Earlier on, I thought he was anxious to not get in Bradshaw's way, given that he was only our third target. However, since Bradshaw's injury, he still seems to be hanging back, not sure whether he should be attacking the ball or waiting for crumbs. He's never going to make his mark as a key forward through finesse - he needs to play to his strengths, namely his pace and his bulk.

On the Marngrook Footy Show last night, they devoted a whole segment to "What's up with Adam Goodes".
Ronnie Burns tried to tell the rest of the panel that Goodesy was old and is now past it.
In-friggen-deed!!!
Ronnie Burns is a tool.
I wish you could have seen the looks of disbelief on the faces of Grant Hansen, Gilly and Chris Johnstone!!! I'm pretty sure I had the same look of disbelief on my face as I was throwing my thongs at the TV.
Next time I see Goodesy, I'll ask him what's wrong and come back and tell you all about it.

During the Freo match a commentator compared what Pavelich was doing with what Goodsey was doing and said that Pavelich moved between the forward line and the midfield, doubling back to be in position for the incoming ball from the half-back line when needed. When Adam moved up into the midfield area he was not moving back and often as not when the ball came into the Swans forward line he was caught out of position or was not there. The other forwards eg Jesse must not have been complementing him.Comment
