Team List Round 18: Geelong pre-game discussion (With Teams)

Taking a leaf out of the ALP's books, we're going to move forward and look towards Saturday's game at ANZ.

LRT is scheduled to be back and should face off against Mooney. Bradshaw was also flagged by Roos to be back but who really knows the severity of his injury. No reserves game makes it a little harder to decide who to bring in. Rohan, TDL and Reid were the emergencies this week. No injuries were reported from the Demons game either.

The early BOM weather forecast is 'chance shower' for Saturday, sandwiched between two predicted 'fine' days.

I think we should gather 150 of the top minds on RWO and get them to come up with a plan that will address all the issues.
This should be done sometime before the finals.

150 fans means we can appease 150 different gods

I'm not usually much of a doomsayer but unless Geelong takes the foot off the gas this week it's going to be pretty ugly out there.

Hawkins had a good game in the VFL, so if LRT does come back in Teddy might still be in the side.

Let's hope Bomber starts resting some of them now. It might help just a little. In saying that, the boys won't get pumped two weeks in a row. A win is unlikely but we won't get smashed. It may sound funny after yesterdays efforts, but they are too much of a competitive bunch to put up an effort like that again.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - our form lines indicate that we aren't going well at all. Nearly all the teams we've beat when they were going ordinary. It's going to take some serious Bloods herculian efforts to do something special this year. I'll blindly keep the faith though!

Very simply - we will not win , even without the weekends drubbing ,we werent a chance. Our only hope of beating Geelong this year would have been to have our best team on the field (ala Bradshaw, Bolton , Seaby , LRT and Smith) and have Geelong with a few outs and on a down night. We simply arent competitive with the very best teams , but if you go back to the start of the year we didnt expect to be either.

As a CEO of the Club you would be spewing too. You can chop 10-20 thousand off the crowd for this weekend game after the pasting they just copped. Anybody know if we are signed to a contract past this year with ANZ Stadium. We need to give up on it. SCG and nothing else.

I think it has to be put down to a bad day at the office.

Unless LRT or Bradshaw have fully recovered then I think there should be no changes for the Geelong game.

Agree entirely. We were shocking and Melbourne barely made an error. We're not a great team but we're much better than we were yesterday.

Time to move on and hopefully make the finals.

Doesn't Roosy play some new players from the reserves against the Cats?
