IMO we have had some really great and some solid performances this year from many. What is problematic is that all the players aren't up together. Partly this is the fact that we have have not really had a very settled side aside from weeks 1-6 where I thought games 2-6 were outstanding and Game 1 a not unexpected loss and we were very competitive.
It's been a really fascinating and pleasing year for me to see the youngsters. I certainly don't see switching off.
I think some of our key players, like Kirk, who have previously been able to impose themselves on a game just aren't able and we haven't got that next level of mature player but I think there is a lot to be hopeful and excited about.

Surely he's saying it is my fault? He's bringing the poor performance directly onto his actions.

To keep your 100% anti-Roos campaign running wouldn't you have been better to say "typical egotistical Roos saying it's all about him when it was just really a bad performance from the bad team he built."

That is the truth as of this week, though after round 6 alot has happened which he has little influence on that is a major setback.
e.g. losing our Number 1: Forward, Backmen and Ruck.

"Roos' players are switching off.", should have been the headline.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Mumford has only missed the games under the "Gary Ablett" rule.

The other thing that has happened since round 6 is we have played a number of top teams.

For us to be in the 8, with where we are as a list, with the key injuries we have had I think Roo's has done an outstanding job, and I don't think his endeavour or planning can or should be questioned at this point.

You call out for PLAY THE YOUTH! 33 players used this year I think, and where are we? Calling for his immediate resignation. GET SOME SPEED, so we recruit Jetta and Rohan. What more do you people want?

Are we Essendon supporters? Adelaide suporters? Get some perspective, patience and open the other eye.
Spot on. It comes down to intensity / effort. Intensity v blues was 100% and we looked a million $$. I think the players got ahead of themselves after that one for the first time ever under roos and got their pants pulled down against the dees. We are still bloody dangerous and can beat anyone if we turn up.

Don't think they are the only ones switching off, the Marketing department might be asleep as well. Ad during half time of the Carlton/Collingwood match today was for the Sydney V North Melbourne game a few weeks ago! Good stuff.

I fail to see how he is bringing anytthing on to himself. He says that the players are switching off and that they are foolish to do so because the coach in waiting is watching. In doing so he is saying that the players are responsible for their own performance and that they are consciously choosing not to give 100%. Where does Paul say "I am at a loss, I just can't seem to motivate them anymore..." or words to that effect?
