Why do we kick so many behinds? We should be kicking arse with the experience we got ...

If we didn't waste the ball we could even be leading! We waste it too much & turn it over in really bad positions ie centre of the park or Cats H F line. The Goodes kick to Hannaberry was a classic hanger, awful. We are playing better this week but still lack the cattle, which is obvious when one of the Cats does something brilliant like Varco just before half time or Stevie Johnston kicking 2 goals from the boundary. Too many of our blokes standing about when they attack though.

The decision making is shocking i can only assume that they simply can't have anyone leading for them - to kick across the field to a 2 on 1 as both bolton and o keefe have done in the past two minutes just signifies a lack of belief targets or game plan

                        Showtime...

                        Some pithy observations

                        1. Bevan is a dumb footballer and lacks focus. Too often when he gets beaten (which also happens too often), he drops his head and puts his hands on his hips or remonstrates with the umpire and meantime his player is running off down the field! List clogger or journeyman? Whilst I though Roos hanging @@@@ on him a few weeks ago on the boundary was poor form, I can understand why he gets pissed...although not why he continues to select him.

                        2. Geelong is a better team than us because (i) they move it on quickly and (ii) their disposal is absolutely top shelf quality. Rarely is a kick wasted and they work so hard for each other. Our disposal is slapdash at best. Sorry to say it, but this cannot be fixed easily short of reviewing the list and the sort of players on it. Geelong clearly have a policy which is they don't draft guys who can't kick. We should adopt the same policy if we have not already. Suspect players include Mattner (the master at kicking and handpassing AT his teammates...derr), Shaw, Bevan, Kennedy, McGlynn, Goodes, Moore, Pyke, Jetta, Bolton...hang on it,s our whole list!

                        3. Jesse White needs to be taught how to time his leads and where to lead too. He leads too straight and too early.

                        4. Too many passengers. Who gives a @@@@ of we make the finals or not. We are complete pretenders.

                        5. A lot of players look dispirited at the moment. A lot of arm waving and calling from players in poor positions. Totally indicative of a bunch of guys playing for their futures not for each other.

                        Positives....

                        1. Hannebery has shown glimpses of his class
                        2. Jetta is going to be great when he gets a defensive side to his game. I feel for him, I really do. Might as well spend the last quarter trying to get the kid his goal. Not much else to play for.
                        3. Goodes is still a mighty player

                        That is all.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Yep, I nearly spat out my beer when I saw what you're talking about.

ROK has been bloody terrible the last 3-4 weeks. I would say that Goodes and Bolton can hold their heads high. Kirk is clearly gone but I guess he deserves his spot.

O'Keefe looks disinterestered to me, love to hear his opinion but it doesn't look good from the sidelines.

Why can't we tackle Geelong? The only side who seem to slip every tackle - hang the @@@@ onto them for christs sake!

Join the mob Bolton. That was worse than O'Keefe's. To Jetta one out against 2, you have to be kidding. Turnover, turnover, turnover. Why is it we go sideways when we get it when clear running forward. We are actually making Geelong look good (oxymoron). This is extraordinary ineptitude. It is just extraordinary that players work so hard to get the footy only to see their team mates slaughter it. Did I see Goodes go onto the ball late in that quarter? Fair dinkum why waste him on the ball when he is such a wonderful and dominant forward.
