For a good seat, get there early and enjoy the reserves game. Park in Centennial Park. It is free and short walk to SCG. Where are you staying?

We are staying at my Mum and Dad's place in Chatswood.

Looking at Google Maps, to follow your recommendation I guess I do the tunnel -> Randwick exit -> ANZAC Parade -> Lang Road -> enter Centennial Park -> Walk around past Disneyland?

Strictly speaking there is a time limit for parking in Centennial Park - 2 hours I think - though I have no idea whether they actually monitor / enforce it. However, they do shut the gates at dusk which, for a 2pm game will be cutting it fine this time of year.

$20 if there are three people or less in the car, $15 if there are four or more.

I prefer to walk from Central Station rather then take the bus, it's about 2km uphill and I give myself 30mins to do it, which is plenty.

I never have, but you can also park in the Entertainment Quarter (Fox Studios). Parking is $20 flat-rate unless you validate your ticket (purchases over $10 in the Quarter) in which hourly rates then apply.

So if two people wanted to meet up, one from the Red Zone and the other from non-Red Zone, you would to conduct your conversations across the divide, similar to what I'd imagine separated Korean family members would have to do across the North-South divide.

There is virtually a demilitarised zone in the ground too

Yes Swansongster. Park inside the park itself. On either side of the loop to the entrance to the park there is 3 hour parking but if you go a bit further there is unlimited parking. I was going to suggest what Google maps have suggested.

That's right just walk back down Lang Rd and around Fox Studios. There is a market in there on the weekends which isn't bad for a bite to eat.

I have used EQ carpark and the Moore park and always found Moore park the easiest and quickest when time to leave. $15 bucks for 4 people 5 mins to my seat, go to the after match function and no waiting in the carpark afterwards.

Incorrect. There are 3 hour zones near the entrance but then it's unlimited. I have parked there on previous Saturday afternoon games and if you are going home straight after the game then there is no problem.

Under 10 minutes to walk to SCG and costs $0.00

If you want do go to after match, then get there early and just park on Lang Street. No time limit parking but slightly longer walk depending on how far up you park. Plenty of mansions to look at as you walk down and one of them is owned by Nick Greiner (former NSW Lib Premier).
