    Jack can take reprimand..

Negligent conduct..one point...low impact one and high contact two means a week..early plea will mean a reprimand and points towards next offence!
Guerra gets one match after rough conduct against malceski..two reduced to one for early plea.
Hodge nothing for hit on Goodes.

So it should be, if hodge had of gone for that then we have big problems in this game.

Wow I am very happy (and relieved) at that! I must admit looking at the incident I thought we may be without Jack for 1-2 weeks.

        Jack can take reprimand..

On the replay I saw that's a good result. Maybe leniency shown as a square up for the Mummy disgrace.

He did get a week, but good behaviour and an early plea reduces the sentence.

When comparing suspensions with other players you need to take into account whether they have a good record and whether they contested the charge or not.

Take it and run Jack. Just keep on running like you did on Saturday.

Does he actually qualify for a "good behaviour" discount? You have to have been in the system for a certain number of years before that kicks in, and I suspect Jack is on the cusp of qualifying or not.

I would think you have a good behaviour discount from the start of your career until you get suspended.

The years would only come into play after you get a suspension and then drop off after a certain period.

That is a great result for Jack and for the Swans. Hope he accepts.

That's not the way it works. You have to have an X year clean record to get the good behaviour discount. If you've been in the system fewer than X years you don't get it. I just can't recall off the top of my head what X is. If I had to hazard a guess I would say probably 5. Jack was drafted in the 2005 rookie draft, which means this is his 5th year. So he doesn't quite have a 5 year clean record.

The first thing I thought when I saw the Guerra tackle was I wonder if it will receive the same scrutiny that Mumford's received - seems it has. I still think two weeks is a bit rough (for both Mumford and Guerra) though.

Agree. And other tackles that have looked as bad, if not worse, have gone unpunished.

and thats the problem, very similar incidents don't get reported. Mummy was really stiff, the one against ROK earlier in the year went untouched but had far geater repercussions for the tackled player. Similar ones since Mummy haven't been reported.
