I know for almost all Swans fans the SCG v ANZ debate is a no-brainer, SCG in a landslide. That said, it might interest many to know that the Swans have a far better record at Homebush in Finals games in terms of percentages.

At the SCG, Sydney has won 4 lost 1, with the only lost to the reigning as well as eventual Premiers, Adelaide, in 1998 by 27 points. However all four wins were thrillers, 6 points against Hawthorn (1996), 1 point against Essendon (1996), 3 points against St Kilda (1998), and 3 points against Geelong (2005).

At ANZ, Sydney has won 3 and lost 1, with the only lost also against the reigning as well as eventual Premiers, Brisbane, in 2003 by 44 points. However, by contast to the SCG their wins were all comfortable, against West Coast 41 points (2004), Fremantle 35 points (2006), and North 35 points (2008).

The Swans percentage at the SCG is 96.12, whilst at Homebush it is 122.26.

Roosy just fronted the Media. He said Tadhg will definitely play, Hanners 95%, Mummy 70%.

If Mummy is 70% you don't play him right? It's either mind games or he's not in. You don't take injured players into Finals.

        If Mummy is gone, Pyke starting, bench;

        Moore, Jetta, White, Rohan/Ried?

So presumably if Mummy misses we take in Pyke, Reid and White? Wouldn't be too concerned up against Warnock and Jacobs.

You'd say Reid/Rohan. 2nd game being a Final is a big call for Sam. Different pace of game. He looks good though.

They did run a story on him on the Website today? : )

They must be agonising over Reid. He looked more than capable last week. Any other time of year, they might go with the same plan (without Mumford) - Reid forward, White part-time ruck. But it's a big risk for a second-gamer in finals.

In case you haven't seen the talk 'over there':

Carlton Supporters Club: You are using an invalid IP

Seem to be fairly pessimistic about their chances, those Blues.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

"Mav, if we show up and are prepared to do the 1% for our team mates etc we will win easily.
If we don't we'll lose comfortably.
                  Sydney aren't that good.
Glad that all the hype is for a comfortable Sydney win.
If Gibbs, Murph and Judd all have good games it's a no brainer."

                  Love it : )

Actually makes me sort of nervous - too often when we're favourites we seem to go in and take our foot off the accelerator. I hope we keep up the hungry energy of the last few games, don't relax, and keep fighting til the last siren.

... yes, I'm still scarred by that game against Richm .... Richhh ... Rihhihhiihhhh ... nope, still can't say it.

so true - I'm as nervous as hell about this game - but I think they are good nerves - oh I hope so!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

If they are agonising ,its their own fault for not giving him a couple of games earlier. I think he was never part of their plans and now injuries have brought him into the equation he is not properly prepared for a Final. Sorry to bore everyone yet again with this issue but a simple rotation plan to give youngsters game time(maybe 2 or 3 games) is the answer.Could have easily been done but I don't wanna go there now.Now is the time to get behind the team chosen. I will support whatever the selectors and coaches decide. For Reid his impressive debut came too late I think. Its a huge ask to expect him to line up in a sudden death Final after only one senior game.

Roosy seems confident about Mummy but we've heard it before....I hope he gets up. More importantly I hope he plays well if they do pick him.

I would love to see Reid in if Mummy can't make it. He survived attention from Daniel Merrett last week and i don't think Carlton's backs are as rough and tough as he is.

On the other hand it sounds as though the Ressies need Reid if they are going to win this weekend so best all round is for Mummy to be fit to play!

The one thing I do like on the site is Mavs avatar.

The nagging doubt would also be that Reids impressive debut was against a team that is pretty ordinary to say the least. I seem to remember a fellow called Ed Barlow was being proclaimed as the next Adam Goodes after an impressive debut against Brisbane a few years ago.
