Unfortunately there isn't much anyone can do about it. Breaking the contract would, I assume, be prohibitively expensive. We just have to make the best of a second-rate deal. And for the fans, staying away is not an option! He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. ANZ is ANZ, a venue. Not my favourite place, but better than Manuka......more toilets. And a game of AFL of high stakes. Who cares where it is!If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Looks like it is setting in already. Was a beautiful, sunny late winter morning when I left home. Now it is overcast and looking as if the rain will start within the hour.Comment

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Will never forget that night............ had a bunch of 8 yolds in the tunnel waiting to go on at 1/2 time, a few of them sticking their heads out looking at the torrents pouring from the skies and some signficant fear every time another thunder clap was heard. I pleaded with the AFL rep three times that we shouldn't go on, duty of care, etc. etc................. no no they'll be right blah blah. Sure enough it took one decent bolt of lightening 60 seconds after running on to send us scurrying back down the tunnel!!!!

Sunday's elimination final will be only the second day game of the 33 the Swans have played at their second, not very sweet, home over nine seasons, and the first of 10 finals to have been held in Sydney in daylight hours.Comment
