I think this is different to 2005 and even Goodes quoted yesterday it feels more like 2003.

In 2005 and 2006 we used to beat every team by 40 points with devestating bursts of 6 and 8 goals. This isnt the 2005 team.

This feels very different to any year I have followed this club. 2010 is the year of unpredictable form, wonderful victories, terrible losses, youthful injections that are the superstars of the comp and a spinal injury list that should have cripled us. Bolton, Seaby, Bradshaw.

Roos is right to praise the boys after such heriocs to make 5th. At the beginning of the season I predicted that we had a good developing list but anywhere from 6th to 12th. Everyone I canvassed thought the same. 5th is a really good result from a brave bunch of warriors.

"THE DREAM CAME ALIVE IN 2005 - SO WE'RE DOING IT AGAIN IN 2010"

great stuff !! One of my most vivid memories of THAT Geelong game is the boy in a wheelchair behind us crying with the tension and then crying with exhilaration after the win. I still see him sometimes at the games but now he is a young man.
I never write off our team, even though I followed them through the dark years. There is no doubt in my mind that they can beat any team given the right circumstances and maybe this year all the circumstances will be perfect.

Great thread! My head says no we can't win the whole thing, but my heart says we could send off Kirk and Roos with a fairytale- so count me in I believe!

Carn the mighty bloods, do us proud boys!

The more I hear the aficionados say that there are only three chances ie Collingwood, Geelong, Saints, the more I think there is a potential spoiler in the mix.

Those old warhorses Kirky and Jude just might make it happen, along with Bevan and Richards, Kennelly, Goodes and O'Keefe who will remember how sweet it was ... We're peaking when others are wobbling, hobbling and out of sorts. And we have Roos and hoodoos to burst.

I'm starting to believe too. 600km round trip on Sunday, couldn't stay away, the kind of belief that just won't listen to reason. No more criticism (umpires excluded), total support for our Team now and to the end of our season and may it be glorious.

Yeah, I believe we can shove it up the critics yet again... after we lost to Melbourne, Sydney-hater Mike Sheehan said 'I think what we saw today was one team on the way up, and another team on the way down (Sydney)'... Yeah Mike? How about a Premiership Cup... is that down enough for ya??!!

                            ????

Mike Sheahan has sung the Sydney praises nearly all year on OTC.

I'd put him more towards a Sydney sympathiser then a Sydney hater.

Yep. He has a soft spot for the Swans. He's always said that 2005 is his favorite GF so he's a hardly a Swans hater.

Tell me, after you watched the Melb match were you positive about us having a real crack at the premiership this year?
