Mike Sheehan likes the Swans so much that he's almost a supporter.

Recall four of our last five wins - a big scoring quarter in each game and a final margin of .... yep, about 40 pts.

Dont really watch On the Couch, but I do seem to remember him tipping us for the wooden spoon on several occasions, including 03' I think... i've just always had that impression but maybe i'm wrong... Anw, not many pundits will give us a chance this year, and we will stick it to them when we beat the Pies in the GF!

You would be correct on that, if he supports anyone it is the Swans.

I think you may be confusing Sheahan with Throbbie Balls. Who is a total knob, and did predict us to be wooden spooners in 03, and has always been quick to put us down.

As for beating the pies in a GF, I do not want to play them in a GF; ever! I could think of nothing worse than having to share a stadium that holds 100,000 and over half of them are illiterate, toothless, tattooed, lazy welfare recipient, bourbon swilling, ferals.

You don't have to worry about that in a GF as only about 10% of the crowd are club followers. It would be interesting to see whether the non-committed would be pro-Victorian or anti-Collingwood.

A preliminary final on the other hand would see 90,000+ ferals. Would be interesting, if a little scary, to see a Swans win in that situation.

...and the rest are the male Pie fans.

As for Sheahan tipping the Swans for last in '03, I have no doubt he may well have and if he did he had a lot of mates. Doesn't mean he is a Swans-Hater. I thought Richmond would run last this year, doesn't make me a Tiger-Hater, does it?

Every Game from now on is a Grand Final ! Of course we all want that one Day in September and to be holding the cup but all the concentration and support has to be behind the team this Sunday for this one game. We can do it but it has to be one Game at a time. 100% supporters ,Club administration ,coaches and players to beat Carlton.

It was Sheahan. To Throbbie's credit he had us making the Top 8 in 2003 based on our form in the last couple of months of 2002. He was by far the only one who predicted that. I guess the Swans were his smokey for 2003.

Mike was even seen singing "Cheer, Cheer" at the birthday party of a friend of mine (old Souths fan). But, like most in Melbourne, he consistently underestimates us and so has expected the Swans to drop out of the 8 every year since 2006 - and he was even right once.

And you must need a much bigger bandwagon by now?

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
