Joey was an absolute standout. His clearance work has always derived my very high praise, but his effort in the game, even when it was all turning to s@@t, was simply brilliant. There was this one image they showed in the 3rd Q (I think) where they showed him after Carlton had just done something good. He was exhausted, had busted a gut, but the look on his face - he was devastated. You could see how much he wanted it. His job on Juddy in the 4th Q was very well done too.

    I'm so happy he's a Swan. He's a perfect match for us.

Gues he has had his break out Swan game. No longer attached by a thread to Hawthorne.

He just looks built for finals footy doesn't he? May become our September talisman.

He's 22, turned it in June, but still an awesome performance!

I wonder if 'sWAns63' has changed their opinion of Joey.

He/she argued for 4 pages earlier in the year that Kennedy was a log of wood and didn't deserve a spot.

                      Explains a lot.

Even though he got a lot of possies, his disposal was awful early on, gave it up many times.
                      Lots of high floating kicks.
Good news was he was getting the ball, they weren't.

I thought it was more than that, felt like he had 10-12. He was definitely our clearance machine!!

I thought I'd take a trip to the 'dark side' and visit the Hawthorn board to see how much blood letting was happening re: trading Kennedy (and McGlynn)

This tickled my fancy in a thread on their needs for 2011...

Gary Moss and Beau Dowler are both gone IMO. Moss can be handy but doesn't seem to offer enough to warrant a contract extension, and Beau Dowler is shot to bits in the upstairs department.

No doubt Sydney will recruit both and turn them into friggin All Australians.

Why is it you and Dr J take so much joy in the pain of others
