Pretty much all you want to know about Trent Dennis-Lane

Even how he came by his surname.

    Great article.

It is a difficult name to get right.

Just seemed like a chap that was going to make it right from the pre-season. He has been VERY important these last few weeks. I'm guessing that the Dogs may give his match up a bit more thought this week.

It doesn't explain why he dropped the C from Lance though?

Edit: Giant beat me to it...

Informative and well-written. And TDL is now a fixture in the team.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Well, that explains a lot. However it doesn't cover anything about his girly hands. I love them, fascinated in fact, that these delicate fingers can wrap the ball hold it and then thread it through to our definite advantage!

Love the - Swans culture is rigorous, but the group is welcoming. Reminds me of Crouchy's speech at the B&F last year.

He needs a nick name. Trent, Dennis Lane or TDL don't roll off the tongue naturally during the game and I stumble and mumble something inane, inaudible and weird!
What does everyone call him on the field?

At Subi they actually called him 'Hyphen' but we've already got one of those! When he trialled at Freo they all called him 'Lois'. Not sure what the Swans boys call him.

I was trying 'Lois' and 'Penny' early on in the ressies, but find I just revert to TDL in the heat of the game now. Once you get used to it, TDL rolls off the tongue OK.

Would have been cool if 'burmese kitten' rolled off the tongue a little easier.

'TDL' is the only way I can keep from mangling his name into Dennis Trent-Lane or some other tangled holocaust, so that's sort of the default for me. Though I like 'Penny'.
