David Smorgon was on the radio - was talking up the Doggies chances against St Kilda next week (SEN). Seems we are no chance - hardly any mention of us being a chance

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

That's weird as all the analysis I've seen is trying to find ways that the Dogs can beat the flying Swans.

Taking a balanced view of the "experts", unfortunately most of them talk rubbish and just repeat thoughts of each other. It is obvious very few of them do an real analysis of teams, particularly those teams outside Melbourne.

You can instantly dismiss the comedy commentators like Newman, Crawford etc, and the ones into controversy like Wilson, Lyon and that loon Grant Thomas, in fact Channel Nine is a joke when it comes to AFL.

Amongst the more serious ones Robert Walls is the most over rated of all and generally talks the biggest load of hot air. The game has passed him by big time, jus wish the media outlets would as well as unfortunately he is on so many shows. Just listen closely to what he says about any team or player, its so far off the mark most of the time its laughable.

A couple I really respect for their insightful opinions are Sheahan and our own G Healy which is what makes On the Couch the pinnacle of footy shows. The only one I watch with regularity.

To be honest, I am not sure that I would put any faith into what Mike Sheahan has to say either. Out of all the commentators that I regularly listen to he seems to change his opinion based on one week's performance more than any other - but I do like On the Couch. I am not sure who I think is good any more. I don't mind listening to Leigh Matthews.

Well at least he does change his opinion; some of the others are bleating out trite comments based on something said five years ago!
