Hall played his best work for us as a lead-up CHF, rather than the 'get-out' kick that he was supposedly recruited to the Bulldogs to be. I thought that he would do well for them, but not necessarily in the capacity they required. However, when they bombed it in long around the boundary at the death (basically a get-out kick) it was Hall who came up with the mark. It did not win them the game, but it stopped us from having any last crack at it ourselves. Good recruiting.

Good onya Baz...we certainly didn't expect you to lie down and let us run all over you guys. I really would have preferred The Grund to hold that couple of marks tho...still, we'll be back in 2011!

Technically we used that draft pick as the one we swapped with Lions. The Lions one we used to help pick up Kennedy and McGlynn from Hawks.

BTW I'd be interested to see what goals you claim were given to him. None that I saw.
Grundy drops the easiest of overhead marks and it spills to hall who snaps it through, id say that was given to him, otherwise he is beaten by grundy in the contest. I just dont get your logic in saying 'bit us in the bum', like being our fault he left, WTF was the club supposed to do? How many chances was he given?

Aaaahh well he doesnt get the @@@@ anymore does he, BTW WTF does the comment I was referring to 'come back to bite us' have to do with your referring to how hall has been treated?????? So whats your take on it then, what should of the club done???? Anything hall does from here on does not come back to bite us IMO cause it wasnt our fault he left.

I agree with you MSB and I'm sorry all the "We love Barry" fan club, but he's a dirty thug - always has been always will be and he has proven a few times this season that he's a leopard that won't ever change his spots.
Sydney gave Hall as much, if not more than he gave us - he was a premiership captain by default only and one more or less game and he wouldn't have been.
I hope St Kilda (and I hate St Kilda) thrash them like the pies did last week, he gets frustrated like he did last week and retaliates like he did last week, but this time (unlike last week), he's given a really, really, really late start to the new season - I, for one, will laugh!

The simple reality is that we would not have won the 2005 flag without Barry Hall. He was colossal from 2003-06 (2006 grand final excepted, but rewatch the 2006 prelim against Freo if you want a reminder of how damn good he was for us). The way he finished for the Swans was sad and he had to go, but that doesn't mean that he was always a dirty thug or that we should diminish the contribution he made to the club during his good years. I for one will always have a soft spot for him and I find it sad that a certain kind of Swans fan finds the need to bag him now.
My opinion is objective truth in its purest form

Barry Hall was my least favourite player of all the Swans since 2004.

I was never a fan of his, but I know that a lot of little Swans fans idolised him and they were very upset when he left. Poor victim Barry, the children are hurting but he only thinks of himself...Still not taking responsibility for his anger, it's still other people's fault etc. Blames it on the parents and insults Swans supporters and still expects a warm welcome? His emotional maturity was pretty low and probably still is, if he was correctly quoted.

I was glad he left. I don't mind that he is enjoying a good career with another club. Do I mind his role in beating us? No (he didn't punch any of our boys, that I know of). Would I boo him? Not for who he is but if he roughed up any of our players I would probably boo that.

Go Collingwood - the only team Roos and co didn't beat.

40 posts on a bulldogs player... I don't get it. As officer Barbrady would say "move on, nothing to see here"
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

                              Harden the @@@@ up, Barry.

When I read that article I was totally livid.

To even compare us to a bunch of low life, uneducated bogans is really low.

I like Footscray and they are too good a club for the likes of you.

Collingwood would be happy to have you to increase the size of their zoo of gorillas.
