ROK is having surgery tomorrow on his groin. There's your first thing to worry about Horse. Good luck! : )

**Actually misbehaviour on Mad Monday could be the first thing! Roosy timed that well.

Will he move one of the other assistants (Berbakov, Blakey, Stone) into his old position of Coaching Co-ordinator? Will he promote one of Dew, McPherson or Maxfield from being a development coach to an assistant coach or recruit someone else?

Was wondering that myself ugg, and my money is on Stuey to be promoted. Reason being he lives in the headset on the bench so he is talking to someone up in the box. He is also going to be a damned fine coach, so why wouldn't he take him.....imo. However, Frosty is definitely in the mix.

I would bring stone into coaching coordinator mode if it was me. Or one of the others. Why would you go anywhere else, we have got the best, and they want to be here.

And then we bring in Kirky as development, but I would not be surprised to see him attached to Roos at the academy - you heard it here first, the home of rumours, unsubstantiated etc. AND if that happens Fosdyke could be a good option in development.....anyone from South Australia who won't go home and is coaching a Sydney side has to be seriously considered.

Doesn't Nick Davis have a role lined up with Roos at the Academy?

You mentioned "Ryan's groin" and "horse" in the same post. Coincidence?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Interesting bit at the end... I think any "Senior" player would get asked the question "Would you like to captain the club?" so I wouldn't read too much into it!

But that got me thinking... IF they stick with the 3 captains, who would be the third one now that Kirky has retired?

ROK, Macca, Kizza, Tadhg, Jude in my shortlist. ROK or Macca would be solid choices. Kizza if they are looking to the future. Tadhg would be a bit left-field, but I think he organises the backline pretty well (if chaotically!). Might be a bit late for Jude.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

                  Roos who???

Horse ... as of lunchtime today, you're my new hero.

I'd love to see duck-butt get the co-captain gong ... if we're going with three again.

If not, Goodesy for captain; B2 for vice.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Maxfield might not want a promotion, being an official assistant makes him ineligible to remain as our runner. He seems to really enjoy that role.

Yeah I know, but the players don't......he gets to them too quickly.

Or move one or more on. Our centre clearance work needs a lot of work.

There has been talk of Leigh Tudor (currently St.Kilda??) returning to us, reckon he was an assistant here about 6-7 years ago.
