I'm going down to Melbourne this week for the World Cycling Championships in Geelong. If public tickets become available as indicated on Ticketek, I will try to get myself a ticket. I'd be surprised if the attendance was as high as last Saturday's game. For many people it will be outside of their planned budget and, if they're coming from interstate it makes it prohibitively expensive.Run2Live,Live2RunComment

There are a lot of colliwobble supporters out there with a lot of dole money.I'm going down to Melbourne this week for the World Cycling Championships in Geelong. Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

All 40,000 member tickets were sold by 2pm today. Guaranteed members had too midday, and the rest had from 1pm.
The AFL are going to be giving away some freebies to disadvantaged members, god knows how the hell they work that out?? (Probably means more pies fans though haha)Comment

In praise of RWO...
5 years ago, the fabulous Frog of RWO fame helped me to get to the 2005 GF for one of the great sporting days of my life.
This year, another RWOer (who I'll leave anonymous given the paranoid would have us believe the AFL are monitoring these fora) has helped me get my missus to see her beloved Pies get over the line. She's been smiling ever since and I'm seriously in the good books.
This member, who has never "met" me beyond these pages, went out of his way to queue up to buy the ticket, express mail it to her in Melbourne, and provide detailed instructions on how to get in - the seat itself was in the front row on the wing - seat 1A on the GF bandwagon!
Thus, this marvelous forum, and all its virtual mates, has provided our family with two glorious memories - and all based on nothing more than a great sense of community.
To Scott and all the behind-the-scenes geniuses, thanks for making it all possible!
CHEER CHEER RWO!!!!Comment
