    Collingwood and us.

Well there it is. They've won for the first time since I was 8 days old. That chant is making me physically ill. But as much as I hate them they were the best team all year and deserve to win.

With so many young players they're likely to be hanging around near the top of the ladder for a while. There's a good chance our next grand final will be against them and we've had a habit of losing to them recently. Let's hope we figure out a way to beat them before we get into a GF with them.

Lol. Edited. But wouldn't it be nice if we got to play ourselves.

LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Why are we likely to play them in a GF next? We might not come on as expected, or Collingwood might get found out and not get past the prelims or semis. Anything can happen from here.

ooohhh its a sad sad day....collingwood winning the flag, but as the opening post said they do deserve it (it pains me to say that). Playing and beating them in a GF would be the absolute ultimate, hopefully it happens in the next few years

I'm the only "weird" one here who is happy tonight! It's vicarious happiness, I guess.

I didn't mean in the very next GF necessarily, as in 2011. The way I see it is to win the flag over the next 5 years we have to get through them. They look like they'll be around for a while, and I think it's fair to say our premiership window will open up while they're still at the top.

Would rather have seen Eddie-everywhere cry after a Collingwood loss

I was actually moved by the shot of Goddard crying after the game, usually far too cynical to get suckered in but I have rarely seen someone try as hard to win as he has over 8 quarters of footy.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

One day, sometime in the not too distant future, we will beat Collingwood. And how sweet will it be?

True, he was the only consistent thing in the two games for the Saints.
