Love the old Muppet grouches, Al.

Back to Collingwood and us. I feel a bit better when I look at the Pies' results in the second half of the year. Apart from the two draws and their dip in form in the last two rounds after they'd locked up the minor premiership, we did as well as anyone against them. They really did dominate the comp, beating the Saints and Geelong in the minor round as well as the finals. Feral bastards, but worthy premiers.

      Rd 12: draw v Melb
      Rd 13: won by 25 v Swans
Rd 14: won by 83 v West Coast

      Rd 16: 48 v Saints
      Rd 17: 82 v Richmond
      Rd 18: 48 v Carlton
      Rd 19: 22 v Geelong
      Rd 20: 98 v Essendon
      Rd 21: lost by 3 v Adelaide
      Rd 22: lost by 3 v Hawthorn

      Finals

The worst part of Saturday - it's now officially Bogan Breeding season....

So next July see the notices for Danes, Dids (such a pathetic name, but suited to a total wimp), Tysons, Naffans etal.

That does make me feel better. They are clearly the best team in the comp, and we got closer than most.

I think finishing 2nd on the ladder in 2011 isn't beyond the realm of possibility for us. The Dogs are another year older, the Cats will be without their best player and coach and St Kilda will be coming off the feeling of not winning 3 GF's in 12 months. It will be tough for them to get up for next year.
