Bevo, oh Bevo, where art thou oh Bevo?

Well he spat the dummy big time and asked to be traded. He probably thought there was some value in him to get a run at another Club.

    However, not to be.

So where to now for him? How long is his contract?

Will have to eat some humble pie from his team mates for a while I imagine. At least he can get some counselling from ROK.

How many more do we have to delist?

Do we know if he spat the dummy or did he just ask the club to enquire as to possible trades on his behalf? There've been a lot of rumours and half-baked stories floating around in the last week - just like every other trade week....

I'm glad we've kept him anyway - he's a handy and experienced depth player.

Speaking of which, I nearly keeled over after hearing one of these last hour of trade week crazy rumours, o'keefe to carlton in exchange for ohalphan and walker!

I know I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that. Memo to self - next year don't believe any of the rubbish that pops up an hour prior to trade deadline....

Glad to see Bevo did not get traded. He should have played in the doggies game. Good tough small defender who can play forward. Not a champion but not too many are.

If we have luck with injuries he won't get a game next year so I wasn't fussed either way.

Premiership player Paul Bevan, whose manager had explored other opportunities after Bevan was dropped for the semi-final against the Western Bulldogs, will stay with the Swans.

Longmire said he was pleased that Bevan, 26, would remain with the Club where he started his career as a rookie in 2003. ?We?re confident Bevo will be a valuable player for us in 2011,?? Longmire said.

Bevo was good this year, (i didnt cringe everytime he went near the ball this year) hopefully he will improve again in 2011. Glad to have him still as he can do a job.

I am pleased he is not going. I like him. He has dignity and he has persistence, and he is a Swan.

Completely agree - he was very stiff to miss the last final after having played so well the previous week. I'm glad he's staying. Apart from anything else, he is one of the very few players we have who is actually a decent set shot kick for goal. Perhaps he can give some goalkicking coaching to Goodes, O'Keefe, J Bolton and a few other more decorated players.

J Bolton has imporved dramatically in the last 3 years and would be far from our worst shot at goal. I would even rate him within the top 10 at the club if you needed to take a shot.
