The North game this year was exactly like that. There were 23000 there of which about 15000 were wearing red and white. It was like a Swans home game.

      But you missed my point.
From generation to generation there will be lass interest.
      And it starts right now.
As a whole, kids are less interested because there is nothing for them to regularly see.

And that's teh way the AFL seem to want it, so it shall be.....

As far as FreeTV is concerned, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. If more people will watch another match involving a Victorian Team then why would they nominate to show the Sydney match?

Remember the networks decide before the year which matches to broadcast and which to on-sell to Foxtel, which is why you can bet that the Bulldogs, Collingwood, St Kilda and Geelong will dominate FTA next year. Safest bet is to pick the top four from the previous year as ratings winners.

Every time I go to a Swans game in Melbourne I am surprised by the large amount of kids running around in swans gear and it warms the heart to see it. Swans supporters are as strong as ever in Melbourne and as long as the club acknowledges us we will never ever die IMO. Personally I have replaced myself with two keen young supporters so the next generation of supporters in my family has doubled.

My god, we are cloning Swans.....

Anyway, the youngest supporter in our mob is 2.2yo and he watches the game with intent. Not all game, but a surprising amount of it.....so no worries, we will do just fine.

Well, there's nothing for the poor buggers to see when the old man kits them up and pops them on the MCG train on a Saturday ..... and the game is on Sunday.

I reckon they should hook up elite sportswomen and Swans players who the club thinks have the ability to play 100 games. The father-son opportunities in 18+ years would be huge.

For the girls part, give them seasons tickets, scarf, cap and a Swans t-shirt. Deck them out in red and white so everybody knows which team they root for.

I reckon there are enough girls out there trying to provide father sons for the Swans in the future as it is. .......

NicMal should be ok, Jude's wife is gorgeous, so is Maccas, I liked LRT's lady. Peb has already done his bit. So has Kirky and Leo, Kell in particular.

I just hope I am alive to see this crop of f/s play for the club. So get cracking guys, I am in the upper range of age bracket here! I haven't got all lifetime you know!

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

This is totally acceptable. If you cant provide your own its fine to steal others.
