I completely missed this show! We were off taking a drive up the coast and I had no idea it was coming, or I'd've TiVo'd it. Bah; I feel oppressed.

I just watched it last night. I was wrapped to see them (even though it was probably taped months ago). We really do seem to have a nice group of people in our team - and the kids were great also.

Saw a lady wearing a swans cap at Tullamarine on Friday and almost highfived her......then realised I could be mistaken for an idiot.....

I have disks (transferred video, some of it AWful) going back to 1997......I am ready for when the real withdrawals kick in......it all started from 1996, when I used to record every game and go over it 3 times to try and learn the rules, but overtaped each one of them. Anyway, by mid November I was going spare. NO footy!!!! That's when I realised I was hooked, well and truly. So I now have hundreds of the brutes waiting for when I just can't stand it any longer

(I ended up buying 2, one being the R22 1996 WC game in the gale, and the first Sydney chant - which has to be heard to be believed, it was simply spine tingling and the volume OUTstanding, and the other against North down south somewhere, where we beat them by Heaps! and it was the first time I ever saw Plugger smile. .

I STILL remember being there that night. The wind was blowing the pouring rain ascross the field. It was muddy in the goal mouth at the Paddington end (it was before they did all that drainage work). It was really cold and suddenly, this eerie chant started up. It was AMAZING. It still gives me goosebumps thinking about it. I must watch that tape again this weekend!

I didn't bother watching midget chef, I had better things to do.

Not one to be a party pooper but if you are suffering from MAJOR Swans and footy withdrawal, perhaps time to see someone in a professional capacity to work out why you have such a large hole that needs to be filled. Footy is much healthier than filling it with drugs, alcohol, tobacco or food etc but nevertheless still a hole.

I've thrown myself into quality time with my kids when the wicked witch of the west allows me to see them, developing my business (which will make more money), fishing and going to the gym to get fit and healthy. Combine that with the Body Trim programme and I'm losing a kilo a day.

BTW for you health and environment conscious go to Welcome | FOODMATTERS? and watch the promo. I have a copy of the DVD. Mind blowing.

Muich more productoive than pining over a lost love. Thank you Dr Phil.

                      End of lesson.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

I agree! This was before I discovered footy but I've read so many on here enthuse about that night and my Swans friends often talk about it with that glazed "you HAD to be there" look in their eye, that I would love to be able to see/hear it for myself.

I didn't want to start a ridiculous off season thread about this, so I'll just post it here instead.

Leaving the ground in the driving rain, forgetting to get to the loo, hunkered down in the car going nowhere, pouring rain not helping the cause, and I just didn't bloody care! It was The Most wonderful experience.

When the Marketing Mob tried to hijack the chant (innocently enough though) I sent him a copy of the game. Don't know if he actually watched it,but the effort was made.

Now I have NO idea how to upload a YouTube version,so if anyone wants to do it, I can run another copy and hoik it down to you. Its all kosher, I paid for the first version! Send me a message.
