    Pensioner discount????
    Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
    Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

        I wonder if it is the same selection panel this year.
        Ricky Quade who woud have been a certainty inducted last time withdrew his name from being nominated as he was one of the selectors.
        Should be made a Legend for his contribution to the club.

            Perhaps the Club could consider running a Hall of Shame function for about $50 pp with BYO drinks and nibblies.

            Let's see who might get a run:

            1. Daryn Cresswell;
            2. Peter Filandia;
            3. Everyone involved with the Club during the Edelstein era.
            4. Those administrators who sold the rights to the young Wayne Carey and John Longmire to North Melbourne for, was it $10,000?

              I went to the Swans 25th Anniversary Dinner. Really enjoyed it, despite several negatives. Eg paid for the most expensive seats. Gave away the 4 lesser seats won after the first lot were booked. Should have cancelled the expensive ones. The most expensive seats were appalling. The cheaper ones much better. Am now very reluctant to attend a Swans' function no matter how cheap or expensive. Every attempt at feedback to the Club about functions has been "shoot the messenger" (that's when there was a reply) even when the feedback contained positive elements. Had I gone to Club Champion this year, as I was tempted to do, and been subjected to loud "music" I would have been furious.

              Good luck everyone - hope that when you do shell out your hard earned $$$ that the event is worth it and that the positives far outweigh the negatives.

                Only a couple of weeks away from the event now.

                Paul Kelly has apparently suggested Andrew Dunkley should be next in line.

                I think a couple of notable exclusions at the moment are Stevie Wright and Mark Bayes - 200+ games, one-club players, best and fairest winners.

                Will be most interested to see who gets in - not least because it's on my birthday!

                  Apologies Donners, but I always assumed you were female until I read this post and recognised it almost word for word for a comment on the Facebook status!
                  It's also my birthday that day and I'll be in Sydney - unfortunately, this function is out of my price range.

                      I would also love to go, but ditto. These events are now just way beyond the realms of reality price wise. Great pity because obviously from all the advertising you can see they are having difficulty filling the seats, and its not because of lack of interest, but lack of money us punters have to play with. ah well.

                        In their new call for people to attend the HOF the Swans have recognised that some people can't financially afford to go. They're asking anyone who would like to go and pay in installments to write to Richard Colless himself so he can determine how to accommodate their financial situation.

                          Brett Kirk for one won't be inducted this time around. To be inducted, one of the criteria is you have to be able to attend - Kirk is in Europe on his odyssey and so unable to attend.

                            You cant be serious - installments for a dinner??? Here's an idea Dick, just reduce the price or turn it into a charity event and we can claim it back on the tax return.
                            I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

                              LOL, instalments for a dinner.

                              What's next - a low-interest loan?
