    Or perhaps the 1945 'bloodbath' Grand Final against Carlton.
    However they were referred to as the bloods prior to that.
    Bloodstained angels as well.
    I'm sure through the years there have been many many references to the 'bloods culture'
    Most recent being Kirk, and many more to come.
    Personally, I really don't think it represents much other than Kirk playing up to Vic based fans at the MCG that day.
    From there it grew a set of small legs and the teams, and players and press all went with it for a while...
    The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.
