    2011 Season Anticipation

Just watched Rd 2 Swans v Adelaide at AAMI Stadium. Now I cannot wait for the season I was wrapped in the play for the whole game and sit here trying to glean any Swans info I can see or read.
Considering for most of 2009 season we missed LRT,Bradshaw, McGlynn, Craig Bolton,
Mumford (Suspension and Injury), Hanners a few weeks out, Bevan (missed out a few games I think he should of played - as a great tackler). O'Keefe's game against Adelaide was great - after that not much. the whole game was so good I kept claiming excellent goals, great ruck work from Seaby and Mumford.
Also sat thinking what might of been if we had Seaby for the season.
Gee I hope 2011 is a great season with many of the above guys playing and playing like they played the Adelaide game of Round 2.
Mind you we did not get a great deal of good comments from the commentators.
It will be so good to go to Blacktown and see the players and how fit they are and seeing some football action. Only about 5 weeks now. Has been too long an off season.
May the Swans have a fit and healthy team for 2011.
    Love those Swans

Does anyone have the great feeling of maybe a great 2011 season coming up for the Swans?
I have based my opinion on watching the first 5 rounds of 2010 and how well we played before injuries.

Yes ,I have that feeling too. However we only played the weaker teams when we were fully manned and the stronger teams when we were not ,so its hard to guage our ability. Personally I really like the players and player mix we have got. Our recruiters do a magnificent job. We have got every kind of player you need to be successful even a few x factor ones! I am cautiously optimistic that the coaching under Horse will be good. I have the feeling 2011 could be a good one barring injuries. I feel we will know a lot more once we play Collingwood and Geelong who have been the measuring stick in 2010. But yes,I think Top 4 this year!

pretty hard when we come against Collingwood - so much power and so much money and so many connections - made me ill last night eddie and his collingwood connections when I tried to watch the donations for the floods. Had to turn him off. Talk about love himself.

I just watched the Freo game, and am planning on the Doggies game later in the week, am sooo excited by upcoming season. Anyone know if we are being under rated (again)?

I've already started up my annual prayer sessions for a win over the Pies at ANZ. I like to think I'm a good sport, but to stand at the Bar in the Novotel last year after the game while a mob of Pies fans sung their Team song, I've never felt so incensed in my life. I never want to feel that again!!!!!!!!!!

I am really excited...our youngsters that played above expectations (or mine any way) will be a year wiser. The newbies from other clubs such as Kennedy will be a year more confident.

The only downside is that due to my changed circumstances I can't afford to be a Tas supporter member this year..first time since 1997 I haven't been a member of some sort. I hope you lot will still speak to me!!!!!

Being a Collingwood supporter I am confident of the Pies defending their title in the Granny and with St kilda not likely to feature it should'nt be beyond the Swans to make an appearence in the decider.

Oh satch.....a horrible confession to make in post number 3,191......I think that grants you immunity. I am sure we can arrange for an unwanted cap to be forwarded.

I am sure the commentators have over looked us again.
Most will have a top 4 of Pies, Aints, Cats and Poos & Wees
It will then continue with Blues, Freo, Bummers , then Crows, Dees or Swans to round out the top eight.
There will be the odd commentator (they are all odd aren't they?) that will realise what the Swans are capable of and put us in the top 6 but that will the be the extent of it.
