    He played 17 games in 2010 - with an 11 to 6 win/loss record.

He missed 7 games, where there was a 3 win 4 loss result.

I like it better when he played - team game and all that.

Way, way too slow, poor forward defensive skills (woeful) and misses miles too many goals. Does the odd very good bit of play with goal assists but his negatives massively outweigh his positives.

He is very vocal, always where the football is,brings people into the play...as some said, the forward line general. He has the knack of knowing where players around him are at all times, and being able to find them..a rare skill nowadays.
Lack of foot speed didn't hurt Diesel, not that Bulldog is a Williams, but he has similar football smarts.
He may be the best case of a footballer who has to keep straining to be a modern athletic player, as distinct from the fabulous athletes who try to become footballers.
In my best 22 every week. Oh, and by the way, a walk up to coach down the track!

To be a good coach one would hope the criteria would be more than a loud voice and a desire to tell everybody what to do.Just "talking the talk" is not enough. You have to "walk the walk" otherwise you lack credibility with the players and they don't listen to you.Roos was loved because he could do both and was respected. Moore has yet to achieve the player credentials to be a coach regardless of his obvious attempts at controlling the forward line which IMO did not function that well last year. Are the players listening to him? Not in my best 22 on ability but obviously well regarded at the Swans and an intelligent guy.
Poor old Tom Hafey didn't cut it as a coach?? Great success as a player is not absolutely mandatory it would appear.
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

                Hi Royboy

diesel is one of my all time fav players I understand the comparission but there is one major difference, diesel had a massive tank and ran at the same pace all day.
I think this is my problem with Moore he hasnt got the tank to play in the MF so he can only line up on FP/HF but its too easy for opposition to run off him.
The guy has a great footy brain and skills but I think the game has passed this type of player. The problem with playing him is you will really limit your MF rotations and we will probably need to rest one of our MF in a FP this year, how do you fit him in and leave the extra MF out?

                Cheers

Nothing wrong with a Mike Brearley in the 22, as long as he can play a bit. And Bulldog can play a bit.

Contrary to popular myths, the new interchange/sub rules will advantage guys who can plod at the same pace all day. The game as it was developing, advantaged guys who could go at a ridiculous pace for a 10 minute burst, then have a break for 3 or 4 minutes before doing it again. No prizes for guessing which camp Bulldog falls into.

                    x6

Put him in a fluro yellow shirt and let him play as a runner.

Wow, had no idea of the simmering resentment for Moorey in the best 22. The win loss ratio when he's not in the team was obvious to me. Soon as he goes down, so do the Swans it seems. He's important to the structure. He creates play and he creates goals. Not much more you can do. I wish he was in the midfield though.

Tom Hafey 67 games and 10 goals. Bulldog Moore 65 games 51 goals and counting. Its a bit harsh to say he hasn't got the player credentials to coach given the wraps he is getting.

In days gone bye it was OK to have a Brontosaurus at FF or FB and an Allosaurus at CHF or CHB, A T-Rex in the ruck a couple of stegasauruses in the BP and some speedy little Triceratops in the Midfield. Unfortunately the game has changed and now every player is a speedy Velociraptor of varying size. Poor little Anklyosaurus (Jared Moore) just cant keep up any more. Its time for him to go the way of all dinosaurs.

... and when I drink VB on game day we win 75% of games and when I sneak in a hip flask of Vodka we only win 45% so clearly it's not Moore who is important to the the win\loss ration it's actually my liver that's the key.

Moore isn't in our best 22 but he does have one thing going for him he's miles ahead of Bevan.

Hilarious! I really miss some of these extinct creatures. Who can forget Rene Kink,Ditterich,Wesley Lofts etc etc . It was an afternoon's entertainment just watching them play. Bulldog is dam unlucky to have been born too late. He could have been the Tom Haffey of AFL coaches!
