I thought Bevo had a good-ish year. I was surprised that the Swans couldn't do a deal for him but there you go.Last edited by Lucky Knickers; 19 January 2011, 05:38 PM.Comment

I was a knocker of Bevo a few years back, but he redeemed himself in my eyes somewhat with some good footy, and by geez he is a better footballer than the lauded one, by many on here, who goes by the name of Moore. His finals game against Carlton was testimony to that and he is a far more versatile and genuine footballer than the aforementioned. To see Harbrow running off Moore as he pleased and knowing that Bevo was sitting in the stands was gut wrenching to say the least. Bevan would have at least made Harbrow accountable and may have been good for a couple of goals. (how much did we get done by?)
Hahaha, I know exactly how you feel MH!Comment

Bevan is misused
Quite honestly I like Bevan although sometimes his clangers make me shudder. He goes in HARD giving away quite a few frees but he just gets up and does it again. From way back I have always thought He should be our defensive small forward rather than Moore. He would make his opponent accountable ,kick a lot more goals than Moore and play with "Teddy like" courage. Thats all water under the bridge now! He is no longer in my top 22 but I feel the selectors and coaches have not put him in the spot where he could have shined a lot more. He is still in front of Moore however. As Terry Wallace (I think) said about Moore "Too Slow" ! At least Bevan gets the ball or nails an opponent before he has a clangerComment

I registered just to defend Bevan - but Hartijon has said it all basically. If you watch Bevan play, he runs hard, tackles even harder, always knows where his opponent is, his kicking is sharp and long and the goals he scores are usually very important goals - often punishing the opposition for underrating him. He lacks the polish to be a starting midfielder or key defender - but he can handle both which to me makes him an ideal utility. His presence and the effort he has put in to get there also seems to be an inspiration to his teammates. If he misses out on form so be it, but I don't think his contribution can be so readily dismissed.Comment

Not our best player and not our worst.
Will do a job for you when required and gives his absolute all.
Overall sit's well in our current list and is not wasting space or taking up a spot for someone else.
DST"Looking forward to a rebuilt, new, fast and exciting Swans model in 2010"
