I think it was very much a Swans style loss with the 2 main offenders being Moore and Bevan, but it won't cost them a place. Two classic defender back up moves by Bevan result in two Bevan fumlbes result in two loose balls , result in two Suns goals. Deja Vu

At least he doesn't try to cover up his mistakes like Moore who mouths off at his own team like a little General,no doubt telling them how to fix up his stuff ups. Moore running into an open goal, not far out misses and turns it over at a critical time..Instead of game winning stuff we go on to lose.Deja Vu again.Neither would be in my top 22

We keep agreeing like this Hart and people are going to start to talk.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Sometimes the will to win far outweighs skill and experience. The GC boys were monties to do well in this one.

Which doesn't say Much for Seaby cos Pyke was better than him IMO....and I dont know why we bother with Currie.

Somehow I don't think GAJ = 8 of our starting 18, as good as he is.

PS do you reckon that Gary Rohan knows what he is going to do before he picks up the ball..............he is Kennelly mk2 !

exciting and scary all at the same time !

Meredith still doesnt quite have the aggression I feel to play inside and is a little slow for outside

my team still at this stage is:

                  Teddy, Grundy, Smith
                  Kennelly, LRT, Mal

                  Shaw, Hannes, Jack
                  McVeigh, Bolton, Mummy

                  Kennedy, Goodes, ROK
                  McGlynn, Braddy, TDL

                  Bench: Jetta, Rohan, Seaby, Bird

geese Parker, Lamb and co will put plenty of pressure on Birdy and Jetta...........

C Bolton will replace Teddy if Craig comes back and up to his high standard

Shaw and Teddy will alternate in the backline according to small or tall defender needed etc

Shaw i think is under lots of pressure also to keep a starting spot

leaving out mart "honest toiler" Mattner hurts but unless he starts ahead of Smithy then Smithy will be on bench ahead of Birdy

Very easy. However, we'd played 45 mins in pretty sapping heat and they were absolutely geared up to do well in their first game. No big deal really - intensity level from GC was always going to be stronger than ours.

Pretty much, I really have no doubt we'll account for them easily during the season proper. If the GC can't get pumped up for their first game against an AFL side they have no hope.

Spot on....no big deal alright it wasnt even a real game, a half of football actually! You could tell we were pretty buggered. The whole concept of this NAB Cup is ridiculous IMO, what was going through the AFL's mind to include GWS in it this year baffles me....they are clearly not ready to play against an AFL team, even in the NAB Cup, I was feeling sorry for them against us....anyway so whom do we play next and where???

And one more thing - I was stinging to pick up my cap - in fact all four of us were - not only just because we wanted our 2011 cap but because we knew we'd be standing in the Sun for the next hour or so. To be told at 6.15?pm that they had run out of Caps and that they had not expected so many people to redeem them was a little ridiculous if you ask me. Bring on Round 1 proper!

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
