I'd definitely give to the Swans Academy ahead of GWS.

I have watched the replay a couple of times and it seems that Macca just runs back past him, gives him a high-five and moves on.

Wasn't sure if it was too cryptic.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

It was for me - unless you had poets in mind.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                  Oh good grief Yuri!

I did trust that Mr D would pick up the inference; I had him on my list. Just waiting for one other to click.

Given TDL was straight in front, not far out and is an excellent shot at goal, how much nicer it would have been to see McVeigh's immediate reaction to be to look around and see if he needed to shepherd an opponent to make sure TDL had the maximum time possible to balance and shoot.
McV gave TDL a little half hearted tap on the bum afterwards...prob saved the tanty for the change rooms. Exactly the same thing happened in the practice match with TDL ignoring McV alone in the corridor to coolly slot one on the run from an angle. The Swans may have to get used to TDL simply kicking the goals rather than becoming a great assist merchant - at least I hope so!

...... and he was a stunning assist merchant last year, almost every game he had numerous deft taps to advantage, he has a great footy brain.

Me too. The fact that my son is in it has nothing to do with it of course...

To clear up the misunderstandings....legendary romantic English Poets
George Byron (a Baron...commonly referred to as Lord Byron)
Alfred Tennyson (a Baron...often referred to as Alfred, Lord Tennyson)
                                Percy Bysshe Shelly
                                William Wordsworth
                                John Keats

So might I suggest "Lord" or "Lordy"

Those of us here in Christchurch are also aware that the seaside suburb of Sumner was one of the worst hit...see shots on this sequence just after the photo of the cabinet meeting

So might I suggest "Shaky" Sumner?
