Congratulations on your remarkable career Craig. Even though I referred to you as B2 you were never 2nd to anyone.

BTW - would reaching 200 games have gotten Craig anything? IIRC 150 games for the Swans makes you a life member and 300 AFL games makes you an AFL life member, does anything happen after 200?

Bloody shattered, I was really hoping he could of got up this year and played some games.....all the best bolts, a wonderful player and servant for the club. I just have the feeling bradshaw could follow if he cant get the knee right to at least play a few games.

Tragic news. A great player and one of our best ever trades from another club.

Sorry to hear this. A fine player and by all accounts a fine person. Thanks Craig and all the best for the future.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Sad way to end it. The ultimate Swans 'Cortina' who became AA and a captain. Was a great double act with Leo.

Milestones are very rarely about the prize! It would hurt him not to have made it. However, Robert Harvey played 300 odd and never won a premiership, I am sure he would reduce his game to 199 for one in a heartbeat!

So sad Craig you are much respected player by all the fans.

We do hope you will stay with the club in some capacity - perhaps support coach.
You have so much to give to the players and would be an excellent person to have to assist John in taking the current group forward.

I am very sad and crying as I write this as we love your playing style and you and your personality. A great person to come from Brisbane and it was their big loss.

Best wishes in a speedy recovery and hope to see you around the club.
                    Love those Swans

All the best champ. I'm sure the likes of Riewoldt, Brown and Franklin breathed a sigh of relief when they heard the news. OUTSTANDING career.

Well done, a wonderful career at Swans, the backline will surely miss him. Will be in the the beat team to represent Sydney (not incl South Melb). Make a great defensive coach. All the best for the future mate.

Hate to see you retire this way. You were one of the major reasons why we won our first flag in 72 years and for that I will be forever grateful.

Terrible shame, especially with such a supposedly "innocuous" injury as a rolled ankle, but that's life. It has been an honour to support the team you've played for and led, Bolts!
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

It is a bit of a shame that he did not get the chance of leaving the sport after a game (giving the crowd a wave and a smile), rather than before the season begins. We would not have won the flag without him.
