Our skills have been absolutely dreadful. We aren't actually playing that badly in terms of contested ball/creating reasonable pressure etc, but our skills have seemingly gone backwards significantly from last year. We made a lot of skill errors last week and its clearly continuing this week as well. Fix that and we will be a different side.
We are well in this though- despite the commentators almost creaming themselves over the Bombers, they aren't creating a lot of chances (But taking them when they do). Hopefully we can build on the bit of momentum we had before half time."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

What woeful skill levels...what lack of conviction...some of them look like they think this is a practice match.
Even, Hanners...had a bit of ball but seems off the pace in the mind...Jetta??? Smith can't find anyone with his kicking. Mummy trying hard but seems rooted to the ground...McVeigh ...Captain?
Basically..we can't win this with the current standard of ball handling & kicking skills.
Any thoughts on the coaching?Comment

I agree that the coaching is fine. I like the way we are trying to play, but you have to be so much better by hand and foot to get away with it."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

i'm not absolutely sure about the coaching. The fact that goodes played well in the preseason in the forward line has i reckon missed our most important element - that he is our best midfielder and playing forward robs us of his ability to get the ball into the forward line - which is actually where you win games. And our other forwards are actually ok if the ball gets in there often enough.Comment
