Is there a 'Swans' pub in Sydney?

I'll be in Sydney this weekend and want to watch the West Coast game with some Swans fans. In Melbourne we have 'The Rising Sun' to go and watch interstate games. Is there an official 'Swans' pub in Sydney? If not, can anyone suggest a good place to go and watch the game?

    www.clubswans.com.au is your best bet

You could also check out The Light Brigade in Oxford St, Woollahra & Hotel Alexandria

The Courthouse Hotel in Newtown is a definite swans pub. Very busy and full of red & white when we play.

Also the Dry Dock in Balmain-run by very enthusiastic Swans supporters, you do need to call them to double check before a game, they have been booked for nrl functions before

Aaaaaaaaaand on top of being Swans friendly, thanks to the gradual decline/yuppification of the other great pubs of the inner west, it is also the best pub in Sydney.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I have made a few trips to Sydney myself and my recommendation would be the Coogee Bay Hotel or the Newport Arms Hotel.

Might not be big on the AFL, but I assure you there is a lot to look at, especially if it's a warm sunny day.

In fact, I would say that's the one thing Sydney has over Melbourne, and that's your pubs. Sorry, two things - you also have a decent footy club.

I live in Coogee, DO NOT go to the Coogee bay hotel. If there is any League or Rugby on, they will put the AFL on one small TV in the cornere where there are bugger all seats or sound. They also scan your finger prints upon arrival and have a ridiculous dress code.

                Worst pub ever.

I've lived in both cities, and the one thing I dearly miss about Melbourne is its pubs- although we might be looking for different pubs if you think those two joints are worth a visit!

Don't they also serve @@@@ with the ice cream there?

Maybe things have changed. It's been over 10 years since I visited those pubs.

I haven't spent a lot of time in Sydney, but Melbourne has great pubs and bars. In fact, a couple of years ago, Sydney was so jealous of our bar scene in particular that they changed their liquor licensing laws to match Melbourne's in the hope of catching up.

Hmmm, I might try that out - never thought of checking if the Dry Dock showed the Swans. I know the friendly staff at Dick's Hotel (also in Balmain, Centre Of The Universe) said when I asked them that sure, just ask and they'd happily turn the channel to AFL, they don't have a packed pub on Sunday afternoons. Though if the Dry Dock is the place to go and run by Swans fans, I may head there this weekend. Meet my Swans-friendly locals.
